My daughter and I tried this restaurant for the first time today, we love trying new restaurants. When we walked in, there were maybe 5-8 people in the restaurant, I think a table of 5 that were already eating, a guy waiting for his food, and a lady that came in after me, needless to say, we thought were in for a quick lunch. We came in right at noon, my receipt says 12:03. The young lady at the register was quiet but lovely. My daughter loves, loves, LOVES Orange Chicken, so when we can find a restaurant other than PE with it, it's a good sign. I ordered the salmon bowl with vegetables (for an extra dollar). We notice a lot of orders are delivery services.
It's now 12:15, we are still waiting for our food. Sometimes fresh food takes a bit longer, especially when it's cooked to order. No biggy.
At this point, it's 12:25, and we are still waiting for our food (as well as everyone else). The chef comes out and tells everyone in the lobby (most are drivers) thank you for your patience, we are getting your food out as quickly as we can.
12:35, we are still waiting for our food. the chef comes out again and repeats what he said 10 minutes ago. By this time, the front register has been empty for several minutes and people are waiting in line. And delivery drivers are still waiting for their pick-ups.
Another patron pointed out that the food we ordered was probably waiting to be sent out as it was sitting in the prep area for several minutes.
At 12:45, they FINALLY called our order. I wasn't upset, (things happen, I get it. We weren't pressed for time) I was however, FAMISHED! I opened my bowl up and i. was. so. disappointed.. What stared back at me was a sad excuse for a salmon bowl. The piece of fish was warm to cold (more on the cold side), and the vegetables that I spent an extra dollar on were soggy, wet, and barely there. There was so much liquid at the bottom of my bowl, there was no question that our order was sitting there for quite some time before it was put out. My daughter who has NEVER met a piece of orange chicken she didn't like told me that the chicken was "bland".
No. I didn't go up and ask for another, by that time, the lobby was full of people waiting and I wasn't going to do that to anyone.
Maybe it was an off day, I don't know. I'm not one to slam a restaurant unless people are rude, that didn't happen. But I am offering you my experience to make your restaurant better. Maybe add an extra person in the back to help with the lunch/delivery crowd. I'm sure the chef would appreciate that.
I'm not saying that we will never go back, but it will be a while until we do. Hopefully, the owner of this franchise will reflect on the reviews and do things to make it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, my first experience was awful and awesome at the same time! Let me explain š Tiyana, started off our great experience with her wonderful customer service and excellent suggestions! She was super kind and very helpful in recommending sauces, etc. The store was very busy as it was lunch time and seemed slightly understaffed, which is understandableā¦stuff happens! We sat along with others, patiently waiting for our food. A person, male and very unhappy came in and proceeded to orderā¦whatever he wanted was going to take some time and Tiyana with a smile and apologetic tone informed him of this. He got very ugly and said very inappropriate things and wanted to complainā¦she gave him information on how he could do that and kept her tone even and very empathetic. He continued to be verbally abusive but instead of matching his horrible energy, she continued by APOLOGIZING yet again and telling him there was nothing else she could do. This JERK ordered his food and sat down. The kiddos (Iām older) then proceeded to whipping out our orders fairly quickly and we received our food. We were eating in. They call the JERK and tried to peacefully give him his food and the manager had to step up and tell him to take his food and leave because he was yet AGAIN verbally abusing the staff. He got really ugly and walked up on the manager who stood her ground and started arguing with her!!! HEāS A MALE walking up in a threatening manner on a woman. She again asked him to leave because he was abusing her staff!!! He then lies and said that the young folks were yelling at him! In unison, EVERYONE WHO WAS A CUSTOMER ALL chimed up and said that was a lie!!! He got into verbal spats with all of us and my guy stood up and told him to leave as the manager requested. He then, kept going back and forth with my guy until he took a step. Then the JERK finally left!!! YOUR STAFF WAS Fā¦ING AMAZING!!!! Iām SO PROUD of these young people and their leader!!!! We were NOT gonna let that JERK hurt those young folks!!! I was proud of EVERY CUSTOMER who stayed and stood up for your team!!! Then your LOVELY staff, gave us all cookies and extra sauce and they shook hands with and thanked everyone for standing with themš¤ THAT JERK should NEVER be allowed back in that store! EVER!!!! That did a great job! The food was great and Iāll visit againā„ļø I am happy to say there was no video because rather than try to get likes on social media, we all stepped in to help! Good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moresadly disappointed. I was beyond excited for them to open. teriyaki chicken bowls are seriously my number one pick for food. we drive to Denver to get them because I literally have an addiction to teriyaki chicken lol. well we have gone 3 days in a row and the first 2 days we were turned away because they were too backed up. I looked past that because I really just want good food so we went again today and it's a 25 min drive for us. we got the food got home and we're very disappointed. number one the amount of checken for an$11 bowl is not great at all but I was still ok but then I realized there was no teriyaki sauce on it, they give it to you in a separate container and it's not even enough to cover half the food. for a place with teriyaki in the name that's depressing. I know rice is cheap so there was plenty of that but when we pay$11-13 for a bowl you would expect more meat like in their pictures but the size of the sauce they gave us was depressing so it's like eating a very bland bowl of rice and veggies with a small hint of meat and no sauce on all but the first few bites. 2 bowls and the picture shows the sauce sizes they gave us. I was hoping this woould be my new spot and I would be there at least 3 times a week. I'm really bummed out. Fork is bigger then the sauce cup. it literally was enough sauce for maybe 4 bites. I'm sorry but a place with teriyaki in the name, a 1 oz cup half full of teriyaki sauce for a regular sized bowl is not even close to enough. Maybe a full 1 oz cup for a junior bowl but even then idk if that would do it. I really thought when I saw the tiny half filled cups that it was either extra sauce or was maybe a side cup for a side dish but when I saw we had 0 sauce on our bowls and that's the only sauce they gave us I was instantly disappointed. I just sent my teenagers to the grocery store to buy teriyaki to put on my bowl so I can eat it which isn't going to be the same because the teriyaki sauce at the store isn't going to be near as good but eating bland food with hardly any sauce isn't great especially with...
