Stopped in a couple of days ago and was incredibly impressed by the woman I'm sorry I don't know her name but she was on the ball knew just what she was doing and I even told her I was very impressed;. I thought I found the best fast food place in town but I was wrong. The menu outside is a very confusing and it doesn't include single items. It has numbers which is either singles or a full meal at different prices. I chose to have the 2 chili cheese dogs which I think was number three on the menu but I could be wrong. The person working the register seem very confused and could not figure out how to ring up two chili cheese dogs as the menu said. The cash register person then call over the woman that I now know is the manager. He rang it up and charged me about 4.79 for both. At the time I thought it was strange because it didn't match what it said on the menu which should have been about 5.79. I didn't press the price difference because I just thought that in their confusion they made a mistake. After driving away I was about a block away and discovered this mistake. I didn't turn around and go right back because it would be a hassle for this small error and decided to deal with matter after I got home. I then called the store to explain what had happened. I called back to try to settle the matter and got the same person who had manned the register he told me that I could come back and they would put a little chilly on my cheese dogs I explained that that would not be acceptable as I would have to drive all the way back there for a couple of drops of chili. He would not own this mistake and eventually hung up on me saying something about berating employees or something of that ilk I then called back and asked for the manager I explained what happened and asked if she was going to own this mistake she told me she was sorry (empty words) and blames it on new employees she had working . When I explained to her being sorry is empty until it has some compensation with it . Her focus was then did I eat the hot dogs already to which I didn't answer although I had eaten only one of them due to hunger. I still had one left. I didn't explain to her how impressed I was during my last visit and she was fantastic and I complimented her about that. If the manager 's main focus was whether I had eaten them or not told me she was not interested in making the whole thing right. she offered nothing in compensation for their apparent incompetence and refused to take responsibility or make any offer for compensation for this"mistake" . I am so disappointed buy this dairy Queen. I am pleased that this has happened so I don't have to go back and get the same bad service just because she hired new employees that apparently had not been trained at...
Read moreNice and delicious Dairy Queen that's tucked along Central Ave. in Columbia Heights, Minnesota (next to Heights Theater and near the library). As of right now it's open from 12pm to 9:30pm, but they are hoping to extend hours earlier in the day. There is a lot of construction, which blocks access to the street you need to turn down. If you heading North on Central just turn into the strip mall, go up that street, turn right at the 4-way stop, then take your first right...that street leads you there...then you can park in the parking lot. If you're heading South on Central...you can either park across along the street and walk over, or turn by the Heights Theather and park there. They have some nice benches to sit on as well. If your in Columbia Heights...stop by...especially since the construction has hurt the business...but the person working told me they are...
Read moreI haven't been here in 6 years. It used to be friendly. Today the ice cream was great, but the service seemed a little racist. I ordered online to get the $.85 special. My Daughter also ordered one from her account. Then I ordered a bogo mini blizzard. When I got to the window, the young lady refused to give me my order until I stated the order exactly. I told her I ordered online and she acted like my order wasn't there. Another woman came and handed me my "already ready" order....
