I stopped in here purely by chance and I remembered I saved this place as a want to go for the Dubai Chocolate. They had it 2 for $10 along with a plethora of other treats. Baklava, candy, smoothies, ice cream, chips, drinks and roasted coffee.
I brought a couple of the the âFreezâ drinks and some Turkish coffee to eat with the Dubai chocolate. The chocolate itself was worth the visit, I liked it a lot, but warning itâs very sweet. I liked now strong the Turkish coffee was as well, I ordered it black. My only problem was at the end of the small cup it was soooooooo thick and just tasted like burnt sludge. Iâm not sure why the bottom of my cup was like this since it was my first time with Turkish coffee.
They have a nice and well put together seating area in the back. It is under construction but from what it is visible you can tell that it will be nice with the black and white theme.
The staff were all so friendly, every single of them who talked to me. I definitely want to return to buy some of the serving trays they have as well as a coffee server. Let me not forget to mention all the pricing is so reasonable itâs refreshing to see businesses not just interested in price gouging. Even the cup of coffee was only like $1 something. Hopefully this place stays in the community a long time.
Update: I went back on 3/23/25 since my daughter really wanted to try the Dubai chocolate and let me tell you it was packed wall to wall. Iâve never been in a store so packed one would think it was like a grand opening. So apparently it was featured on the local news last night so it must have caught a lot of peopleâs attention. It was nice to get inside and see they had the Dubai chocolate strawberries as well. The chocolate bars itself didnât have the cool writing anymore, but that is probably due to the sheer volume they had to produce. They had a nice piece of chocolate cake they didnât have last time. Unfortunately it was all sold out so another reason to go back soon. The new cafe area is finished, now itâs where you can get ice cream and coffee. Very cool to see what a difference a month or so has made. Wonderful staff, tasty treats, and itâs everything is really...
Read moreI have waited for years to finally try this place and --- it was a bit underwhelming, unfortunately. After $80 worth of chocolate, drinks and subpar customer service, nothing really WOWed us.
Based on reviews, I was expecting high hospitality and the feeling of being treated like "family". Also similar to a few other reviewers, our experience as a family was not that at all.
Since it was our first time, we could've used a few friendly explanations but just got blank stares when we asked questions. The entrance was confusing since there were 2 doors into the store. We made our way down the counters and there was a man busy stocking chocolates who didn't seem to care to help us. We told him it our first time and didn't know how to order. He looked at us, pointed to the chocolate bars and mumbled something. We asked him about the strawberry cups and he mumbled "5-7 minutes". Another man came with strawberry cups and started putting them down on the counter. I asked if I could take a few, he gave me that blank stare and mumbled something as well. I still have no idea what they were saying to me. I do not think it was a language barrier, because I overheard them having a great conversation with a group of young ladies behind us.
We stumbled over to their drink selections in a fridge and tried a few drinks. Sadly, we didn't like any of them and ended up throwing them away. We actually didn't finish anything we bought there.
Here are my ratings for their food + drinks:
Turkish Delights - 1.5 Dubai Chocolate - 3 Pistachio Chocolate - 3.5 Strawberry Cups - 4 Carbonated Drinks - 0 (flat, tasteless)
Overall, not a bad place if you like chocolate. Their customer service could be a lot better especially if they have new...
Read moreMy husband and I made the trip from Iowa to go to the golden nuts store as we had seen it on tiktok and we're very interested to try it out their different items that they sold.
When we walked in we were first graded with a huge variety of different collectors items and decor and stuff like that. And then the gentleman at the very front counter greeted us and welcomed us into their store.
They have a huge variety of different options that they offer including fresh baked goods they have kunafa, they they offer a lot of different assortments of Dubai chocolate items, including the Dubai chocolate cups with strawberries in them.
They have a very cute seating area in the back that also offers a variety of ice cream options and smoothie options.
They offer very generous size samples of anything that is not sealed shut and I would highly recommend doing this.
We ended up getting a variety platter of just different things. We went through and picked out a bunch of different items so that we get a taste of all of the different things. And although a lot of them looked alike, they were all very different in flavor.
We will definitely make the trip back up there again to get something different the next time, but I would highly recommend going there.
It's located in a good area. It's a very big store. It's wide open in there and they offer other things that you can buy such as...
