5 stars ⭐️ from start to finish!!
First of all the outside is so nicely done. From the cactus’s, the colors, the flags and the cleanliness of the building and premises. The the indoor is exactly the same. Clean, bright, fresh and well decorated and designed. Everyone that worked there was very friendly as well!
But let me tell you, the food is the shining star! I generally don’t really choose Mexican food because for some reason what I get is pretty bland and boring. So I don’t go for Mexican. But my husband loves it so I thought I’d try it.
Wow!! The flavor of the one tiny bite of chicken I had when he brought home his loaded fries was outstanding. So well seasoned, no fatty bits or gristle. I was very impressed.
The burrito I’ve ordered twice now is amazing. So flavorful and everything tastes fresh and delicious. I also love the condiments bar. every single one of their sauces are amazing.
I actually had a little mistake today going through the drive thru, I don’t think they could hear us or we weren’t clear but our burritos were missing a few of the toppings and when I tell you that is something I would normally drive all the way back and get replaced lol, that’s just how I am at most places… but that burrito was still SO delicious it didn’t matter one bit. The missing topping was barely noticed because my food was soooo good.
Last but not least we were blown away by the affordability. The prices were very good even for a family of four.
Anyway i highly highly recommend this restaurant and I hope it stays in fridley for years to come. I will never choose chipotle again. 🤣
*also I hope they have outdoor seating area...
Read moreOMG! Los Cactus is my new place to go in NE. It is set up like a Chipotle, but it’s so much better.
Two lines is much more efficient than other places when it’s busy. The chicken is delicious. The Al Pastor pork is delicious. Do you want to turn your burrito into a chimichanga? BOOM! Los Cactus does that. And it’s delicious.
Like other reviewers have said, the loaded nachos are truly why I keep coming back. There simply isn’t a day that I don’t want the loaded nachos. Every day I don’t have the loaded nachos, I have wasted my day eating other food. They are THAT GOOD! Put whatever you want on them. The chips are great. The queso is awesome. The salsas are really good. Make them as spicy or as bland as you’d like. They are fantastic. Great. Now I want the nachos again. I guess I know what I’m having for lunch tomorrow. Again.
Los Cactus is great. They do everything right. Very efficient and all the food I’ve tried is fantastic.
I guess if I had to find something negative, it’d be the menus are a bit confusing to figure out what you get and what everything is. Also, there is limited seating. It’s probably best to plan on taking the food to go.
Other than that, I am impressed. I hope they make a billion dollars. Once the high school and middle school figure out how good Los Cactus is, they will get swamped after school lets out. That might not be for a while, so try Los Cactus NOW before they get TOO busy.
Thanks for the great MEALS, I’ll see you...
Read moreFor a new restaurant this place seems to be getting a lot of those key things right: Fast service good value good food
I had the enchiladas w/ carnitas and Verde sauce which tasted great. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and the carnitas were very moist, not to mention the fresh tortillas were unlike anything you usually get here in the states in terms of fast food.
My buddy who I was with mentioned he didn't like the carnitas because they felt too oily (I completely disagree, that's the way I prefer carnitas) or the beans. The worst thing I could see his point on was the rice was a little bland.
I took away a star because the silverware was so cheap when i pressed slightly too hard with the fork it shattered in my hand and sent sauce all over me. In addition to that, there was a distinct lack of pleasantries when ordering but that is to be expected when you're first starting up
I would highly recommend giving this place a shot because the value...
