We couldn't't find many Indian buffets nearby that offered a dinner service for Father's Day so we tried someplace new. I'm very glad we did. The $12 kid price really made it a great option for our three kids' first buffet experience as there wasn't as much pressure to "get our money's worth". They all found something they enjoyed among the many options (butter chicken for the youngest, lemon rice for the middle, and bone broth soup for my son). I particularly took A liking to to the goat and lamb curry, but was also impressed with the pickles selection and multiple mixed rice dishes (not just one biryani). I give four stars because I prefer things a bit spicier but there's peppers and hot sauces available to make it your preference and I understand that flavorful and mild is best for business. Another big bonus for us and the kids was chai, mango and watermelon juice, and tea included. Definitely check out this local new business if you enjoy a buffet.

Was looking for a good spot to casually meander over, grab some naan and some butter chicken and just take it easy. Little did I know that I would be walking in and greeted by one of the owners who upon learning about it being my first time brought me through a culinary tour of their food like I was Anthony Bourdain. These people put their heart and souls into their food and it shows. Food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was comfortable. I admittedly was a little confused on the drink situation until I noticed the drink station in the corner but it’s no biggie. I will definitely be coming back for the buffet! Which should I mention was fresh!!

Great food quality, amazing service, solid variety foods to choose from. The buffet was great, selctions from Naan bread, chicken, lamb, beef to Green Pea Pulao, and other selections. Food quality was pretty good! If you're craving Indian Buffet, this spot is what I'd recommend. The meats were very well flavored. None were dry. There were sauces for the proteins as well. You also have the option for a vegetarian style buffet as well. You also have the option for 3 sweet drinks as well. Employees were very nice, welcoming, and very helpful. Overall, a solid quality Indian buffet that can definitely be a staple in the metro area.

I cannot say enough good things about Tikka Masala Grill & Buffet in Columbia Heights! This place just opened about a month ago, and I already feel like it’s going to become a favorite not just in the neighborhood, but across the city.

From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to share the food they were serving. It wasn’t just hospitality—it felt like they were proud of what they had to offer, and they should be.

The buffet? Unbelievable. I have been to plenty of Indian restaurants, both buffets and regular à la carte places, and I have never seen this kind of variety. Tikka Masala Grill offers food from all over India—and not just the usual North Indian staples. I found dishes from the South, East, and West, as well as specialties from Bangladesh and Pakistan. It’s a rare and exciting mix that makes the experience feel more like a food tour of the subcontinent than a typical buffet.

What really blew me away, though, was the inclusion of Indian street food—something I’ve never seen in any Indian restaurant I’ve been to in the U.S. The staff encouraged me to try things I had never even heard of before, and I’m so glad they did. Every bite was something new, bold, and delicious.

By the time I left, I was completely stuffed in the best way possible. I didn’t want to stop eating, and the staff didn’t want to stop feeding me! It was that kind of experience—generous, flavorful, and full of heart.

If you’re looking for Indian food that goes far beyond the usual buffet fare—and want to be taken care of by a team that clearly loves what they do—go here. Tikka Masala Grill & Buffet is...

Tikka Masala Grill & Buffet is a hidden gem!

If you're looking for authentic halal food with an incredible variety, this place is an absolute must-visit. The buffet selection is outstanding—from rich curries to perfectly grilled meats and fresh naan, there's something for everyone. But the standouts for me were the beef tehari, packed with bold flavor, and hands down the samosa I've ever had—crispy, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with care.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the warmth of the service. The owner is incredibly kind and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. You can tell this isn’t just a business—it’s a passion. The staff is attentive, the food is always fresh, and everything is served with a smile.

Whether you're here for lunch, dinner, or just craving comfort food done right, Tikka Masala Grill & Buffet delivers. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing friends!

We came to this restaurant saturday night for dinner. And it was really an amazing buffet spread, especially for the price! We kicked it off at the beverage station which offers different juices, water and unlimited chai tea my favorite! The staff is extremely kind in accommodating and was quick to fill up any of the buffet items that were low or missing. They had something for everybody tons of vegetarian delights and tons of meat dishes of all sorts including goat, beef and chicken. I was also pleasantly surprised to find all of the different salad and bread/papadum options. We even finished off our meal with some mango pudding and rice pudding mixed together in the side of galubgajmon! This place is tucked away and kind of hard to see from the road.So you should definitely seek it out.And come when you're hungry, because you will not leave.Wanting for anything. I hope lots of people start going because it's a hidden gem.And we want it to stay around. It's our...
