Meat and rice is good, however the sides... Not so much. Or rather the macaroni is like a pasta salad which is okay but underwhelming and unanticipated which is on us not them. We also ordered the fried spam which came wrapped in plastic wrap and looked to be reheated in the plastic wrap (I could be wrong). If that is the case, I don't like heating plastic with food because of the whole plastic chemicals exposure to the food being released by heat. Again I could be wrong about that. Secondly, it tasted mostly like seaweed and a minimal taste of the fried spam. If that is the objective of that dish then it is something that I wouldn't get again, but glad i tried just to try. If this was a result of it being premade and sitting in plastic wrap for a while and therefore overexposure of the seaweed wrap causing everything to smell and taste like it (think of a banana sitting next to other food in a bag for days) then I am a little disappointed in that. Again, if that was the goal then I suppose they hit the nail on the head and it is just not for me. Might as well just had seaweed and rice and get it cheaper.
For the overall price, I think it is overpriced. Unless the meat they use is local, grass fed, and organic. I say this because I feel like there is a disproportionate amount of meat/side to rice ratio. With that being said, I have been told multiple times that I put too much rice with my dishes personally and they put my ratios to shame. By weight it is probably 8 parts rice, 2 parts side, and 1 part meat.
They give a ton of rice! SO some might like that and some might not. If you like to have left over rice for a couple of days after you finish with the meat and sides you would definitely have plenty to spare as we had about 3 extra cups of rice which we used as sides to other meals (which is a plus... again... if you like leftover rice).
All in all the workers were polite, informative, and helpful. The inside was nice and mostly clean (our kids made most of the mess I am sure).

Read moreJacob at Hawaiin Bros is an exceptional employee who goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers requests. He was beyond helpful in assisting me in choosing a dish that I endes up absolutely adoring since I had never been here before. He patiently guided me through all of the options available to me in an expedited manner, without leaving any stone unturned. Kind and courteous & above all an exceptional ability to execute customer service the "old fashioned way" at its finest. At one point, a to-go box leaked on me while I was attempting to place it in the plastic to-go bag and he was automatically offering me a wet rag in order to reduce the chance of staining on my outfit. Thoughtful, sincere, and above all showing the highest form of sincerity when it comes to customer interactions. You can tell he loves his job, adores the food options provided and is extremely knowledgeable of all of the products available. I couldnt help myself from highlighting his excellence as I hope it gets to someone above in management or higher and hopefully The Hawaain Bros Management will consider this young man for a pay raise at minimum and chances for advancement in the company as soon as they come available. Customer service like this is rare so hold onto this gem of an employee and treat him well because you will be hard pressed to find another like him anytime soon...and beyond. Way to go Jacob! The food was fantastic, but the main reason I will return to this establishment was Jacob's exceptional...
