Drinks were delicious however service was not great. They weren't even busy (we were only ones there beside a couple members of their family/friends who didn't even ever order anything); however, still managed to not get us our order of just two drinks until after at least an hour of sitting and waiting while the workers were talking to other visitors whom seemed like they knew them well (friends or family perhaps?) *May give this place a chance again however not sure after this experience. I can understand if a place is busy, short staffed or both etc however they had no excuse and we're rather rude to us as while we were being (polite and immensely patient) paying customers for not just the wait but for also the treatment of being their last priority to their apparent 'social hour'. Again can understand if they just wanted to visit with family out of town since I'd happened to overhear them talking about going on the tour of the nightlife of Columbia, seeing pictures of their college, how's school going..etc because I understand they're your loved ones but COME ON. SERIOUSLY?? An HOUR of a WAIT for two drinks just so you could talk to these people and not even start on our order?? Just was more than ridiculous and uncalled for. And if they can't either simply multitask, tell their family/friends they can't speak until they're off work or even just cant visit until after the customer has their order or even just to give us a well-deserved apology! ...they should not be working. Here or anywhere that deals with the public and especially not in a customer...
Read moreI would rather eat out of Wendy's dumpster. I ordered the Brown Sugar Latte, and to my surprise, it tasted like a freshly cleaned bathroom. It tasted like cleaner. There were just clumps of brown sugar. There was little to no boba, but the ones i had the misfortune of consuming tasted like tires. I also got an order of pork dumplings and super shockingly, they were burnt. I don't know what i expected from a boba tea shop that can't even serve boba correctly. I had the displeasure of eating all 7 of the incredibly burnt pork dumplings. I would have rather chewed on Jeff Bezos's foot callous. I think a deep fried rat would have tasted better. While I was ordering, the staff were incredibly rude, and I could tell they didn't wanna spend all day in the sweat shop that we've disguised as Bubblecup Tea Zone. With the lack of appropriate service, I wouldn't be surprised if they were being held there against their will at minimum pay. Those workers should be paid a lot more seeing the boatload of money I poured disaster of a restaurant. I spent 5.50 for the most mediocre Brown Sugar Latte. It's literally just brown sugar and milk. With 5 and a half dollars, i would've expected boba that is actually cooked correctly, as opposed to the mouthful of...
Read moreThis place is okay, but if you want good Boba in Como- go to Bobaholic they are AMAZING
My complaints- There was soooo much syrup that just sank to the bottom. I nearly died when I got a big mouth full, despite shaking and stirring. It dilluted after a while, but those first few sips had me questioning my six dollar purchase.
Speaking of 6 almost 7 bucks... That's super pricey for a drink. I've had cocktails cheaper than that. There isn't any alcohol in these, it is not worth that much money. So this will be a special one or twice a year stop for me.
Lastly, the customer service has been lacking the past two times I've been here. They just don't seem like they care about their job much. And I don't blame them. I'm guessing they simply do not get paid enough, which is a running problem nowadays. Which is why I think my drink was just kind of... thrown together hence the stupid amount of syrup.
Pros- Still a tasty treat! It was fast, I was in and out. Oh and the drink cups and lids are super cute! Looks like they have other stuff on the menu I would be interested to try. Overall I will come back.. mostly because Societea is 3 hours away. But I definitely won't be coming in as much as I would like if the...
