Went in to pick up an order! 2 ppl working! One tending to a customer and the other walked back and forth, never ask me if he could help. Finally another person comes in to pick up an order and the guy behind the counter started communicating with him. So I walk up to inquire about the order I was there to pick up, & this is when he advised me and the other pick up person that their printing machine wasn't working! A little professionalism goes a long way, please share this with the guy that appeared to be a shift manager! At this point he stated that it was going to be awhile before the orders were ready, so I ask him, if you don't have a print out, then how do you know what to make? He then stated to me and the other guy, that we would have to cancel the orders, after he was aware that we are the pick up and deliver ppl and have absolutely nothing to do with the orders themself being placed, again a little professionalism goes a long ways.. I had to contact my company and request that they contact Firehouse subs to confirm this situation in order for the customers order to be canceled.. This is ridiculous. Wasted time, gas, and had to deal with an under trained employee.. You can't just pick and choose who you want to wait on, business does not work efficiently nor...
Read moreOn an impulse,I picked up a Firehouse Hero at the Grindstone Columbia Missouri location. I can confidently say that if this sub is representative of all their others ,then Jimmy John's,Pickleman's,Jersey Mike's,Sub Shop,Subway, and Penn Station will be getting my hard-earned American Greenbacks.
WHY: The bread-soft,sweet and crumbly. Hardly able to support the insides.
Meats-also sweet and low to no salt to balance the taste. Saltless also means no flavor that only Sodium can do, to pull out that meaty goodness.
Add-Ons-no complaint, except maybe spread 'em thick enough to see?
Condiments:this time,I ordered no mayo or mustard. Used my faves from home.
Verdict:If I were a woman, then this soft, sweet fluffy pillow of a sandwich would hit the spot. However, after a long day of driving and fixing things,"It just...
Read moreFirehouse subs is an expanding foodchain across the United States, growing from city to city by the day; and with good reason. The food quality is insane for the price you're paying, while you might see $9 for an 8-inch sub, you're really looking at $9 for a sandwich that will fill you up for lunch. While the quality is there, the speed of service can vary depending on time of day and how many people are on staff in a given hour, typically subs get pushed through anywhere from 3-6 minutes if there's just you ordering, but lunch can have you expect a reasonable 10 minute waiting period. The workers are top-quality and always greeting you with friendly service and...
