Hy-Vee Market Grille — Restaurant in Columbia Township

Do NOT bother with the West Broadway location if you are use to the great service and good food of the Market Grille in the SW Providence Rd HyVee location!!! If I could give zero stars I would. They clearly used aged, soon to expire eggs and fruit. Seriously, how does a business screw up a fruit cup...??? Well this location sure did. And my scrambled eggs...? Well besides being runny, YES runny, they tasted old. Yuck! No one is there to greet you. No one was there to explain how they worked, which is different than SW location and no body cared about the food. BTW my husband's eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce was flavorless. I was pleasantly surprised by the Marketplace Grill after seeing an add for it in the HyVee circular. I'd always assumed it was part of the grocers deli and Asian food offerings that many stores have off to the side, but that's not so!

It is it's own restaurant with reservations, a full delicious looking menu, wines and a bar, attentive wait staff and in my own case, superb take out. They had a great half off chicken sale, and were very amenable to letting me sample all their wing sauces. I chose a sweet chili sauce that was divine. Had some Wahlbergers for the first time. The wife and I are watching calories so we split a BBQ bacon burger, and also split a Jenn's Chicken Wahlbowl and some sweet potato tots. The burger was really good (stand out bun and plenty of flavor without the extra condiments), Jenn's chicken bowl was good but not as good as the burger. By splitting each, we were very full by the end and left half the tots (just from being full). We think this is a good choice for future meals, especially when shopping at HyVee.
