My buddy called me this morning and said "get dressed, we're going to go find some new bbq to try today." I didn't want to because im feeling a bit under the weather, but my fiancé urged me to go so she could finally take a deuce (she won't do that when I'm home). We sat in my drive as I searched bbq joints within 200 miles and after doing some digging I found this gem. We decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. It's just a little joint that has only been around for a short time. It's actually connected to a coffee shop. I was a bit hesitant when I saw that. We went in and the owner (i did not get his name) greeted us promptly. He was very kind and engaged in conversation past "what can I get for you". That was very refreshing and nice. My friend ordered a platter and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with pulled pork mac and cheese, baked beans, cheesy potatoes and cornbread. One of the best meals I've had at an establishment in quite some time. The pulled pork was tender and juicy, the Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The baked beans were sweet and wonderful. The cheesy potatoes were exactly that, and I couldn't ask for any better combination of 2 ingredients. The ONLY thing I did not care for was that the cornbread was cold. That is a personal preference, the flavor, however, was an explosion to behold. Sweet, savory and downright succulent.
Definitely highly recommend. I got all of that food plus a 25% tip for around $50. I left stuffed and I will not be eating the rest of the day. I wish I had gotten a picture but I'm fat, and I dug in immediately.
Also, this part is for the owner, so if you're not him, just scroll on. My buddy and I aren't gay, we're just a mentally combined age of 16 I think. I know he definitely seems like it, and he'd definitely be a power bottom, but im as straight as they come. Thanks for the good food and great service. I hope your wife likes my harry potter...

Read moreLong story short, grew up in Virginia with Carolina style BBQ…. Moved here in May of 2024 from Houston after 6 years of being in Texas. After growing up with Carolina style BBQ and experiencing the Texas’s BBQ scene… I can truthfully say this is the best BBQ in lower Michigan. I have tried multiple top ranked BBQ spots in lower Michigan. The pork ribs at PB&J you might as well eat with a fork because it will not stay on the bone! Some people take it for granted but moving from a place that has diverse and amazing food choices, to a place like Brooklyn where people get excited about a Taco Bell being built….This BBQ spot is truly a gift and enjoy it as much as possible please. Sorry if I offended anyone with the Taco Bell comment but it’s true. This pure competition BBQ...
