The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Columbia Township

In October I called Honeybaked Ham and placed an order for “a smoked turkey” for pick up on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. I asked if the turkey would be frozen and was told “No” it would be fresh and they would be open at 8 AM for pickup.

I arrived around 9 to pick up turkey, after finding my ticket the person brought out a package of 4 1/2 pounds of sliced turkey breast. I told them this is not what I ordered and was told this is what was on my ticket. I told them this would not feed the 10 people I needed to feed. The lady that took my order (older with gray hair) said no worries we can fix our mistake. She then brought out a frozen smoked turkey. When I asked about how to prepare I was told by another person instructions were on package and it could either be thawed or put in oven frozen. We did warm in a roaster and the turkey was not moist and certainly not worth $79.95 + tax for 8-10# turkey.

Since that time I’ve been told there are new owners and have been a lot of problems since they’ve taken over.

I heard about it from a coworker when I first moved here, ordered the first time and was blown away by the quality ingredients, the packaging, and the presentation, so blown away I ordered it 3 times that week 😂 I kept ordering through a delivery service, and then my sister came to town so I just had to show her, not knowing what the place looked like. DO NOT ORDER THANKSGIVING MEAL FROM THEM ONLINE! Placed one order and received one confirmation email. Weeks later I received double the amount I ordered. Checked my credit card and they changed me twice. Called customer service for days trying to get a hold of someone. When I finally did, she told me that because I received the order already, and they won't accept returns, that they couldn't refund me even though this was their screw up. She even mentioned this isn't the first time that this has happened. She said I would need to call my bank and dispute the charge. So now I'm on hold with my bank to may or may not get my money back. What a mess. And this isn't a cheap order. Two turkeys and a pie for $181. Now...
