Okay. Iām going to try not to ramble, but as a citizen of the world who has had Schwarma all over the world and currently lives in NYC, the culinary capital of the world, I have to say that the Chicken Schwarma at Boro Kabab in Maryland is the best Iāve ever had in this country from the east coast to the west. Absolutely delicious. My husband and I went in on a Tuesday night, staying at a nearby hotel and had a takeaway. I saved some of my Schwarma because it was so very delicious that I was worried that I might not be able to get back for more before leaving town the next day. Well, we made it our business to make it back for more before getting on the road to drive home. We saved our food to enjoy in the comfort of our own home. The chef packed everything with such care and even after a four hour drive, the food warmed over perfectly. I actually had the last bit of my Tuesday Chicken Schwarma today, Thursday, cold and it was as delicious as it was hot and on the first day. They also have the British/ European double fry French Fry cook down. Crispy, tasty and very more-ish. They too heat up well. The customer service is outstanding. So friendly. So family oriented. I felt like a family member just being there, and seeing āmomā at the pass was everything. I canāt recommend this restaurant enough. I was told by the manager Sunaz that they have two other spots and another restaurant. I can only hope that they will expand their reach to NYC and San Diego, my two homes. That said, I frequently go to DC & Columbia Maryland and will always make it my business to stop by and continue to try other menu items. Oh, and I almost forgot. I had their hummus. There is no other hummus. End of. Stop by even if you have to go out of your way to get there. Itās definitely worth the trip. Iām starving now and was getting a little bit sad. But I remember, I still have some hummus left! Party time!!! Thank you so very much Sunaz. Iāll be...

An employee reached out to me about an hour I posted this review. The restaurant gave me a gift card and explained that it was possible the lid on the ice cream container had come off, resulting in freezer burn, which is entirely possible. Either way, they were very kind and wanted to make sure they could get my order right the next time around.
I ordered again today, and I got the koobideh sandwich, which was very good! I didn't get any ice cream, so I can't speak to the quality of it. Maybe I just got a bad batch.
Original review 1/8:
I got the koobideh shawarma and the Persian ice cream delivered, and I ordered directly through the Boro Kabob website. Instead I got chicken shawarma. I was really wanting to try the koobideh, but not the end of the world, it was still good in flavor. It was lukewarm and the pita fell apart immediately, both of which I could chalk up to the time between making the food and it being delivered to me.
However, I'm most disappointed by the ice cream, and I'll say that I am not at all picky with ice cream when it comes to brand. Like give me $2 ice cream from target, I'll still love it. The flavor of the saffron ice cream was wonderful, but the texture was just awful. Super grainy, like the most freezer burned ice cream I've ever had. Worse quality than the cheapest ice cream you could buy. I'm angry that I spent $7 on a single scoop of ice cream when I could've gotten two whole cartons for the same price and enjoyed it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBoro Kabob is a great place for delicious Mediterranean cuisine. I've been there in the past to get kabob dinners to go. It's a little hole jn the wall that could be overlooked with it between an Indian restaurant, a Papa Johns and a Korean restaurant. I decided to stop in and order a beef shawarma tonight. The guy behind the counter was so polite and friendly. The restaurant has limited seating but no one was there so I opted to stay and enjoy my meal there. The shawarma was SO flavorful!! It came with the white sauce drizzled on top but I got some (not spicy ) red sauce on the side and it complemented the meat just right. I'm not sure if the guy behind the counter was the owner or manager, but brought my order to me and then checked on me after I started early to see if enjoyed it. I was in heaven. The meat was tender and flavorful and the sandwich overall was juicy. Another man came to check to see if I was enjoying my neal. I appreciated their attentiveness. I was in heaven. I got the shawarma with regular fries, which were hot and thick cut. It was nice to eat hot, crispy fries. The desserts are excellent too. I'm a big fan of baklava and they had walnut and pistachio varieties. The walnut baklava was cut into 4 little pieces and they were perfect to share. I also took home the espresso creme brulee. That was also a big hit.
If you want some delicious Mediterranean food, try Boto Kabob. Great people and...
