A very beautiful young lady came by my office on Thursday and was promoting this establishment by handing out free drink cards to us. (see all the pictures below) She explained that it use to be the old TGIFridays in the restaurant park and in my opinion failed due to bad food and service. So my wife and I decided to check them out on the following evening. We were seated the moment we walked in the restaurant due to the lack of dining patrons. Our waiter Vonte B arrived 12 minutes after we were seated and not only took our order but also wrote it down. We ordered 2 bowls of the cream of crab, I ordered the Caesar salad with extra croutons & dressing on the side and my wife got the beets salad. I also ordered one 12 piece chicken wings appetizer that we split between us. Not only did the food come out wrong and all at once, but the soup was delivered cold with no spoon and the wings were cold and dried out from being over cooked. The glass of wine my wife ordered was only a fourth of the way full and would have cost $7 for a cheap house wine if we didn't use the free drink card. My salad came out with no extra croutons or dressing on the side making it very dry. We also received only one bowl of soup with little to no crab meat in it because the waiter was either not listening or paying attention. So I told them to forget the 2nd bowl because it was likely to be cold as well and lacking crab meat. I don't mind paying more for food but when it comes out subpar that is where I draw the line. Just look at the two receipts I have included in this review. The first one being overcharged for food we never received and failed to comp the wine when we presented the drink card upon ordering and the second one being correct. I had no intentions of leaving a tip because our waiter had poor listening skills but my wife insisted on leaving a $10 bill with the check because she just thought he wasn't trained properly by management. In my opinion based on this experience, the only thing that has changed is the name on the building. It would be a miracle if they are still in business a year from now if they don't straighten things...
Read moreVery clean and comfortable setting. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly & accommodating. We met the GM as he stopped by to check on our table. We also met the Owner/Chef. We were a group of 5 & we went for Happy Hour to try “all the things”. I LOVE chef owned restaurants. The food & service is always better. What we ordered: Brussel Sprouts, Ribs, Wings, Mussels, Hummus, Beets, Chili Fries, Crème Brûlée and Cheesecake. I would order all again, and as a matter of fact, we did place a second order of the ribs, wings and fries.
Brussel Sprouts- super super fresh. If you like them cooked down in bacon grease and unhealthy like they are typically served (and yes- delicious haha)- these aren’t for you. If you like them super fresh- these are for you. I like them better this way personally, but others prefer the other way. Ribs- PHENOMENAL. Fall off the bone and flavorful. Will be a staple each time I visit. HH price is for less ribs, but perfectly priced. When we ordered a second time we actually ordered a full plate. Wings- phenomenal. HH price is for less wings, but they are big. Sauce on the side is a blue cheese, but homemade and not super “blue-cheesy”. Beets- FRESH & yummy. I love beets & this was perfect. Chili Fries- DELICIOUS. Nothing bad to say. Home made fries & the chili is great. Can’t wait for my dad to try them! Mussels- you get A LOT for the money. They are very flavorful. Bread served with is great. Hummus- PHENOMENAL. Served with fresh veggies and fresh pita. Like, you’ll crave it and want to go back just for the hummus. Something I never thought I would say haha. Kicking myself for not ordering one to go. Crème Brûlée- FABULOUS. One of my friends was going to get it to go as well, but last minute decided not to (or forgot). Cheesecake- I love a good home made cheesecake, and the waitress said this is a family recipe. I would order this again.
Definitely will be returning to try more items on the menu!!! (Pictures may be duplicates to other reviewers as we shared pics in our...
Read moreWe recently dined at Elliott's Craft Kitchen on a Saturday evening in September. The interior of this new eatery is pleasantly appointed, and the booth in which we were seated was comfortable. While this restaurant is new, there are a few issues. First, while our server was pleasant, it is apparent that the front of the house staff is not well trained. Wait staff should be knowledgeable of the wine list. Our server admitted that she was not and offered to bring a sample of the wine in question, fair enough. However, there appeared to be at least two and possibly three managers, of which, one should have been flagged to discuss the wine selections with us. We also noticed that our server seemed to have tables in various parts of the restaurant, which did not allow her to be present at key points, e.g., within a few minutes after our entrees were served or when we were ready for the check. I'd suggest grouping the servers' tables together, so that they are able to better monitor and check in with diners. We also were told about an appetizer special, but we only discovered that there was an entree special by listening to one of the other servers nearby. Second, the actual food was just okay. The caprese salad was swimming in oil and would have benefitted from a touch of acidity that a balsamic or citrus dressing would have added. The beet salad would have been better if the beets were actually more uniform in cut and if there was more (or any) of the promised goat cheese. Both were in need of fresh cracked pepper. The entrees (crab cake platter and miso salmon) were both under seasoned. Yes, I saw the saltshaker on the table, but at these price points, we expected a much more complex flavor profile from the kitchen. Also, we were not able to make a reservation from the restaurant's website, which was strange. And there were some typos on the menu, most notably in the spelling of Brussels Sprouts. We'll try again in the new year to see if there are...
