Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Columbia

So, first the drive up spots are all taped off. Not sure how this protects anyone from covid since the servers still come to your window in the “drive through”. Next, I gave my order through the speaker box. I had to give the order multiple times because they couldn’t understand me. I have an accent but an Australian one, so it’s not that hard to understand me. For my son we were ordering a cheese burger - she kept trying to give us a grilled cheese. I had to correct that multiple times and was still given a grilled cheese and not the cheese burger. Thanks for devastating my 3 year old by the way. The grilled chicken sandwich was coated in mayonnaise (who wants more mayonnaise than lettuce?). The Hotdogs were more sauce than Hotdog meat and the milkshake was somehow not cold. I’ve attempted calling multiple times, the first time after ringing I was met with the dial up Internet noise. The following calls went straight to “the person you are trying to reach has a mailbox that has not been set up yet”. The whole experience was garbage, the employees are either undertrained or just don’t care, and we very much want a refund. No vouchers, no gift cards. We spent $22 on terrible food and will...

This was actually the 2nd time we had absolutely the worst service at this specific Sonic and swore we wouldn’t go back. But I really wanted a corn dog on Friday, 12/29/23, so we decided against our better judgment to grab some Sonic on our way home. There were a few cars ahead of us in the drive-thru line, so we waited a minute while the car in front of us finished ordering. We pulled up to the box and waited to hear a greeting. Nothing. We thought “oh, they must be busy”, so we patiently waited for over 5 minutes for someone to take our order. Nothing. As there was no one behind us, I thought maybe I needed to move my car back and drive up again. Nope. Nothing. Two cars drove in and pulled in behind us in line. Nothing happened. I said “hello”’to the box. Still nothing. At this point, we have waited for at least 15 minutes to order, so we decided to eat at Tequila instead as the food and service is much better anyway. Never, ever eating here again. I should have learned my lesson...

I ordered a vanilla shake with caramel drizzle on the top when they brought out my shake they tried to give me a caramel shake I declined to take it so she offered to remake it and I said please if it wasn’t to much to ask being apologetic for their mistake so they brought me out another shake it looked fine had tons of whip cream on top thinking they didn’t that for a miner inconvenience but when I got back I looked beyond the whole cream and I saw nothing but milk so I poked around and they put a scoop of ice cream in the bottom and poured a bunch of milk on top and didn’t even mix it or anything i definitely didn’t feel comfortable going back and asking for another remake cuz who knows what would have happened next just super childish I understand your under paid for the work u do but I was super sympathetic with the mistake so doing what they did was just...
