Starbucks — Restaurant in Columbia

I order my usual. A latte with 2 pumps of sugar free vanilla and 1 Splenda. She pointed across the store and told me it’s over there and that I can put it in myself. I asked why, because I’ve been coming to Starbucks for years and I’ve never been asked to make my own coffee at a coffee shop. She said it was across the store and it was too busy and crowded for her to walk over there to get it. I’m confused as to why there isn’t any behind the counter? How do they expect to make mobile orders? Shouldn’t there be a level of consistency through all stores, instead of choosing to provide a service only when it’s convenient...

Even though this is one of the busiest Starbucks in Columbia and specifically on USC’s campus, the staff is always so warm, welcoming, and hard-working. I go to a lot of different Starbucks in the area including the Lexington, Irmo, and Sandhills area, while all locations have very friendly staff, this particular location always stands out to me. Many of them seem to build strong connections with customers while simultaneously managing the constant rush of tired students and staff getting to class. They really do seem to always be on...

Recommendation: Specify what your drink entails or do NOT leave before trying it... they threw a shot of espresso into my Green Tea Latte. In case you're wondering, no, they don't come with espresso and for good reason. Drink ruined, on a time crunch and didn't try it until I had already ran out...
