I am writing to express both my profound admiration for aspects of your establishment and a serious concern that arose during my recent visit on Saturday, July 26, 2025. My party of six was initially captivated by what Stuffed Brunch offers, and I feel it is crucial to convey these sentiments directly and constructively. Upon our arrival, Jennifer's welcome was nothing short of phenomenal. Her pleasant and inviting demeanor truly set a wonderful tone for our evening. The ambiance of Stuffed Brunch is precisely what has been lacking in the black-owned restaurant sector within our city. It is clear that significant thought and effort have been invested in creating a truly unique and appealing atmosphere. The decor was tastefully executed, and the food, prior to a concerning incident, was absolutely delectable. Indeed, the professionalism displayed by your staff, with the sole exception of the individual referred to as "DeDe," left nothing to be desired. However, my experience took a deeply concerning turn after I had consumed more than half of my meal I discovered multiple pieces of hair in my food. I discreetly and politely brought this matter to my server's attention. I wish to emphasize that at no point did I request a remake of my meal, nor did I ask for any compensation. My sole intention was to inform your staff of this significant hygiene lapse, in hopes that it would prevent similar occurrences for future patrons. My server handled the situation with commendable professionalism, exhibiting extreme accommodation and sincere apologies. He immediately escalated the issue to what I presumed to be one of the owners. Regrettably, the response I received from this individual was both passive-aggressive and presumptuous. She implied that I was attempting to receive something for nothing, remarking that most of my food had already been consumed and suggesting the hair appeared to have been "strategically placed." This insinuation was deeply offensive and entirely unfounded, especially given that the hair was discovered beneath a piece of shrimp. As a staunch advocate for supporting black-owned businesses, I believe it is crucial to address such issues directly and constructively. Mistakes happen, and while operational oversights can occur, it is the subsequent handling (or lack thereof) of legitimate concerns that can unfortunately hinder businesses from reaching their full potential. My intention in sharing this feedback is not to disparage Stuffed Brunch, but rather to highlight an area where improvement is critically needed. I genuinely hope that this incident will be thoroughly investigated and that measures will be put in place to ensure the highest standards of food preparation. More importantly, I urge you to reinforce that professionalism and basic customer service are consistently maintained throughout your entire team, particularly within the management hierarchy. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously, as my desire is to see Stuffed Brunch thrive and continue to be a beacon of culinary excellence in...
Read moreThis was my second visit to this Black-owned establishment. While I genuinely believe in supporting and giving second chances to small businesses, I left feeling disappointed and disheartened.
I was excited to try the chicken and waffles, but upon arrival, I was informed that the chicken might appear pink due to “bruising.” The server kindly apologized and reassured me that it was fully cooked and safe to eat. Understanding that things happen, I chose to order something else instead.
Unfortunately, despite a long wait time, the food my husband and I received was underwhelming. The macaroni was stiff, and the lamb chops were lukewarm. After waiting nearly an hour, we decided not to raise any complaints at the time and simply ate our meals. We did not feel like waiting any longer for anything to be remade.
What ultimately ruined our experience was what we witnessed just before leaving. While sitting in the glass dining room and waiting for our check, we overheard a manager—distinguishable by her short haircut—speaking to a server in a highly unprofessional and antagonistic manner. The conversation occurred in full view and earshot of guests, which was completely inappropriate for a dining environment. The manager’s tone and approach were unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful to the server . In contrast, the server remained composed and professional throughout.
We chose not to get involved out of concern for the server’s well-being, as it was evident the manager had no issue asserting herself in a very aggressive manner. We also did not want to say anything there because we can tell the manager was a hateful woman, and would try to continue to treat the server bad after we left if anything was said . However, we felt compelled to bring this to your attention. It was disappointing to witness such behavior, especially in a setting that prides itself on professionalism and community values.
As a customer, I came in with high hopes. I wanted to support a business that represents excellence within our community. Unfortunately, between the extended wait times, underwhelming food quality, and the deeply concerning management behavior we observed, I no longer feel comfortable returning.
This feedback is not meant to tear down, but to serve as a reminder: customers are always watching and listening. Experiences like these matter—and they shape whether or not people choose to return or recommend your...
Read moreToday was my first time visiting. I heard a lot of great things about the food and drinks (through word of mouth). However, my experience was a little disappointing. The first issue was parking. Unfortunately there are only a few parks near the restaurant. Customers have to find parking either behind the building near the road or in another establishment’s parking lot. When we finally entered, we were greeted and quickly seated. Not once were we told about a time limit. My friend and I both ordered the chicken and waffles, as well as a few mimosas. The food and drinks were delicious! As we were still eating and conversing, the waitress approached and asked did we need a to-go plate. I thought it was odd because we were STILL EATING. We said no and she walked away. My friend ordered another drink, which I guess was the only reason we were left alone. AS SOON as my friend sipped the last drop, the waitress headed towards us and asked if the checks were separate. No: would you like anything else? No pleasantries. After paying.. she informed us that we had exceeded our 90minute seat time and there was a wait list (although there was no one actually waiting). This was very rude, in my opinion. If you have a seating time limit, please make sure your waitresses inform the guests before they sit down. We felt very rushed and although the food/drinks were good, this interaction left a bad taste...
