China Kitchen — Restaurant in South Carolina

Decent atmosphere, Convenient drive thru for pick up, People weren't rude, and definitely the cheapest i've ever gotten chinese food. I like a lot of the Appetizers and side dishes Like Crab rangoon, teriyaki chicken sticks, Pork fried rice and egg rolls. Conveniently in yheir menu they have appetizer platters. Which is pretty awesome because the last combination number 8 I get all of those things. all of that only costed me like 6 bucks! We also got beef and broccoli which they made spicy for me. sauce was good but beef was a little extra chewy. we also got Kung po chicken which they very nicely made unbreaded for me. First couple pieces of chicken were a little unusually chewy but the rest was fine. Though the food all seemed very fresh and plenty of sauce. vegetables seemed fresh and not overcooked unlike some places. I reallt liked their fried rice. It was just the way it is supposed to be. i can't stand that yellowish fried rice you get some places or when they over cook it or cook it in burned oil it gets a gross taste. I'm very picky about my fried rice (if you couldn't tell) They put plenty of egg in it which is nice. main thing i didn't like was the teriyaki chicken sticks. i prefer them roasted. i think these were deep fried. i didn't taste any sauce on them either. they seemed pretty dry because of the fried breading. they weren't terrible just not nearly as good as they should have been and different from what i expected. Bad experience today wings and rice not fresh. Wings reheated to try to pass as fresh. Called and instead of an apology, manager insisted I do not know the difference in freshly cooked and reheated. Sad because I eat out every day and I had been a regular customer 2 times per week since China Kitchen opened on Farrow Rd, so I am very familiar with their food. So familiar that the lady at the window knows my car and my order. Ten plain wings, shrimp fried rice. NO ONIONS .NO MSG.I did have a previous experience late one Saturday evening,6 weeks ago,where the wings were not fresh and the rice and shrimp seemed old, but I let it go because previous experiences had been good. I am now this evening feeling sick, the sick I feel if food has MSG in it. I told the manager I would bring the food back tomorrow when I am back in the area. I initially wanted it replaced but after the manager made no apologies..nor offer an adjustment, and wanted to argue with me, I want a full refund. I told her I will no longer purchase from this...

Went there yesterday. Asked for an extra gravy for our egg foo young. The young female with the braids showed me the size. It looked like a quart. When we got home, I noticed she gave us 2 pints; much smaller probably a pint. She did not tell me she was giving us smaller containers; would have been nice to know. If she made a mistake, she didn't even tell me she made a mistake so if we needed another one we could have ordered it. I'm sure if it was her on the other side of the counter she would have like someone to tell her. Called to speak to manager today. He said the smaller size is what comes with the egg foo young. I said I would like to have known that. He said he would tell her. He didn't speak as if he cared. As if it was no big deal. Also, there was enough food but the egg foo young was not very good. But, it was ok for them when they took our money. I will never go...
