First of all the service was rude arguing with each other the cashier and the guy next to her wouldn't let you add to your order until after you pay for the first order then they gave you the second or two before they gave you to call in order and it was all wrong four of us order Thai food individually three of our food and up in the same bag although we've had a different and the orders were so wrong I order turkey wings brisket mac and cheese oven-baked fresh collard greens I got ribs two pieces of brisket yellow stuff over rice they would not answer the phone we had to drive all the way from Newcastle back out there just to get the food straight on that particular order and then they gave me about four pieces of fat and one slice of lean brisket the turkey wings do your way to have feathers they was overcooked extra dry you couldn't even buy them the macaroni and cheese taste like it came out the microwave the greens had vinegar and sugar in them and it was out of a can they did not taste fresh and I ordered a large Pig feeding rise or we will season well the rice was good and greasy and loaded with cartridges and ligaments and tissue it was so much fat I couldn't eat that either I spent almost $30 my sister wasted about $10 in gas at least taking me all the way back out there just to come back with food we still can you eat don't even get me to tell you how they messed up the rest of them older this oh yeah the guy in the middle holla back for the girl's name LaShonda she holler back and doujinshi not deaf maybe it was one of them but it wasn't funny to me cuz I was hungry. I wanted my food that's why I spent all that money now I'm going to have problems eating meat for a while especially if I don't cook it myself I'm just saying is just mine they was so rude and Unapologetic didn't even give me a free soda when they know they're charging a 1799 Ford plate and still didn't get your soda with it. The real deal! Brisket like butter and ribs are some of the best I've ever had all of it nice and smokey. We ended up trying a few things. Hash isn't my go to dish, but theirs is exceptionally good. The gumbo is spicy and they don't skimp on the andouille and shrimp. Pigs feet (or any feet, for that matter) are something I don't normally eat, but Eddie, the owner insisted...omg, amazing! Chicken was perfectly roasted and there was a nice assortment of sides, although sadly, sweet potatoes were not among them. They did, however, have sweet potato fries and sweet potato pie, though we didn't try either. Their collard greens were fantastic; firm, but not tough, well seasoned, and properly strained, so that half your plate isn't swimming in liquid. These folks had a steady stream of customers coming through the door the entire time we were there. Customers place their orders at the counter and wait (just a few minutes) to be called. Service is friendly and very helpful when customers are making selections, especially if something is unfamiliar or you might be hesitant, for whatever reason. The service from the front counter, the female sitting up there is truly nasty. She’s choosy about who she’s friendly with and most of the time is not women. She’s very selective wasn’t like this when they first opened up there was some humility. The food was excellent. I was up in there every week, but it’s not the same anymore. You don’t see that grill cranked up like you did when they first started because you were actually getting food right off that grill now it’s a total set up. Attitudes are different. The food is different. I tried to give them different chances. Old food that’s been sitting up for a couple hours that they need to get rid of Sloppy plates. I’ve had to bring stuff back three times and after that, I decided I wasn’t going back and I haven’t been back the lady sitting up to the front. She is just so unfriendly specially towards women looking down at you deliberately letting you see that she can be nice to some people and has chosen not to be nice to you. don’t know what’s up with that but she need to get it together cause ain’t nothing the same about that place nothing !!And ride all the way to Lexington to get something to eat.
