EDIT: Since the visit I wrote this review on, the customer service has been incredible. They were quick to reply, investigate, and apologize. So when reading this review please keep that in mind. .............………………………………………… Long story short, my group sat down yesterday and had to wait two hours to receive all of our food. The first thing didn’t arrive until an hour after we ordered, and it wasn’t even one of the three appetizers we ordered. We knew our table was specifically being treated poorly because our friends at the booth next to us ordered the same amount of food at the same time as us and were able to leave an hour before us. Also, tables who arrived after us received their food and left before we even got ours. Frustrated, we asked for the manager who was unapologetic other than an off handed “sorry” as she explained that we should have expected the long wait. This was my first experience at this restaurant, but I have many friends who come here often with good reviews. If you plan on going, you just have to hope you sit at a table...

Half way home from picking up our order they called and asked if we could turn around and come back as they had accidentally mixed our order up with another patron's. We obliged and upon returning the other customer was waiting to make the exchange. What was very annoying is there was no "hey sorry for the mixup" but rather a what took so long tone. They were indignant and reluctant to respond when I asked if we could have 1 little 50 cent container of dipping sauce for our trouble. I also asked if our pizzas had left the building, a fair question IMO. The reponse was a delayed conformation that they had not left the premises the whole time. Somehow this was humorous as they snickered as I exited, maybe they found something else to be funny, that kust what it seemed like. The pizza was ok, the dipping sauce just seemed like ranch sauce. This was our first ever and likely last visit there. Yelp and Google show lots of other options with great reviews so being new to the area we will try...

At Village Idiot Pizza, nestled so near, Granby Mills' embrace, a place so dear. The air hums with warmth, the walls have their say, Where laughter and crust meet at the end of the day.

The oven’s soft glow, the scent of the pie, A comforting rhythm that never runs dry. Each slice like a hug, a familiar delight, In this humble corner, the world feels right.

The staff knows your name, and your favorite brew, The booth in the corner where you always sit too. It’s more than a meal; it’s where hearts belong, A second home, where you can’t go wrong. The chatter, the clink of a glass or a plate, Every visit feels like a friendly debate. Here, in this haven of cheese and of dough, Time slows and you’re grounded, your troubles let go.

So here's to the Idiot, in all of its charm, A slice of comfort that keeps us warm. At Granby Mills, under soft neon light, This pizza’s more than food—it’s the home that...

Went in for lunch for the first time this week and really enjoyed it. This location has a weird parking lot where you have to find the "visitor" parking so you don't get towed. Since it was my first time there that was a little bit of a pain but now that I know where to park it would be easy the second go around. Service was excellent! Food was pretty good. I ordered a white sauce based pizza and I think that was a mistake. Didn't have much flavor to it but the marinara with the garlic knots was excellent so next time I'll order a tomato based sauce like normal people and it will probably be a much better experience food wise. Hard to screw up pizza so even if it's ok it's still good. I will certainly go back and try a different style pizza and then update my review accordingly.

Had high hopes here. Left a touch cranky: I walked in and made a carry out order. They told me twenty minutes. At 35 minutes I asked about my order, they said sorry, it was on top of the oven with the other delivery orders sitting there- no one checking the tickets. My pizza box had been up there long enough that the pizza was cold. There were ten employees. The delivery business was not crazy, just steady. There was one booth with people. No excuse to miss my order. Once the women did get my ticket, she still had to make my salad. Not terrible, just lame. The slightly warm pizza was better than Domino's. Everyone there was friendly, just not all over it like I expected. Meh.

We ordered a small cheese pizza and a large Village Special pizza (minus the mushrooms and black olives) through Uber Eats last night, and we loved the food! One thing we noted was that it isn’t as greasy as other pizza places, which we liked. The crust was amazing - not extremely crunchy or charred, perfect for me. It’s also thinner, hard to tell from the photo. From some research I did, it looks like they have 2-3 stores in the Columbia area. Would definitely eat here again.
