Every time I ride by Millennium Buffet I think I should go eat there because it says with a student ID you eat for 20% off so I'm like okay yeah let's go eat there first when we got there some of the food was cold and we were the only people in the restaurant so I figured well they'll replenish the bar here soon is okay then after we are almost done several people come in and then they start to replenish the bar with nice hot food then the whole time I'm there I had to ask for refills on drinks she never came over and said would you like more tea would you like more water we had to go and seek her out to get tea or water then when leaving I asked could I have a to-go cup of tea because she didn't give me tea while eating anyways she's like no only here no take out so I said okay can I have a refill then I poured my tea in my son's little to go cup cuz you know they give kids to go cups and I took my tea with me I asked her could I have a cup of ice to go and she's like no this place if you are a very low budget college student this is great for you but to bring your family and you're trying to enjoy yourself and have a good time and eat and drink and be merry go somewhere else go to Top China buffet on Saint Andrews Road or just pick a different Chinese place cuz this one is not it I didn't like their attitude and I didn't like the food because they were not replenishing it until more people came in and with my student ID she tells me USC only I I told her if you only want to give you a c students to Discount then you need to take down the sign that says student IDs cuz...
Read moreThis used to be one of the better Chinese restaurants in Columbia. I have been coming here to eat for about 14 years. At one time, I even tried to talk the owner into opening up a restaurant in a location closer to my home.
I went there two days ago. My family and I were the only customers there at 3:30pm. The food on the buffet was cold or at best lukewarm and the meat was hard to chew from being dried out from sitting on the bar for too long. We asked two employees while we were there if they would cook a fresh pan of the Mei fun noodles for us. They said yes, but never did. When we complained to the owner that the food was cold, she pretended that she didn’t speak English when I know that she speaks English quite well. (She did not recognize me. I guess this pandemic induced hibernation has really aged me.)
Then when it came time to pay, the owner charged me full dinner price instead of the lunch price. I told her that there was no shrimp or expensive dinner entrees on the buffet, they were just starting to put out dinner pans once my family walked outside. When I objected to being charged the higher dinner price for my family, she took off one dollar off the bill.
Unless they get their act together and start taking some pride in the food that they serve, I do not recommend...

I went in here about a week ago with my boyfriend because we wanted a good place to eat and I've already been with my mom and sister so I told my boyfriend I wanted to go back..... Why did I do that? It was so embarrassing because the service for him was terrible, our tea didn't have any sugar in it and when I mentioned it to her she got my drink and put the whole bag of sugar in it (to be funny I assume) we didn't want the drinks anymore so my boyfriend and myself tried to ask for a water, but she kept looking at us an then ignoring us that is until we got up to head for the register and she chased us down as if we were about to dine and dash smh if only we gotten that attention when we trying to order water it would've been A LITTLE BETTER.... I will not be going back as I am embarrassed because I begged my boyfriend to go, only for them to treat us as if they didn't...
