Yamato — Restaurant in Columbia

Don't expect a great meal, the food was almost without flavor. The venue was ugly needs new paint, someone who cares for the goldfish pond in the front, a lawn maintenance person, and new signage because all together the place looks abandoned... Also my friend has gluten allergies and the restaurant operator's don't know what gluten is... and someone needs to clean the sugar and appendages bowls because there was crusted appendages in the bowl at our table. When I walked in I was honestly kinda grossed out so I checked their scores from the health department and There was a big "B" staring back at me. I would expect a score like that from a mom and pop's hole in the wall bbq joint, but not a large chain restaurant. The only reason I gave two stars is because I'm a nice guy, or at least I always try to be... My honest is 1 of 5 stars, I'm a buisnes owner, and you have to put forward at least a little effort to maintain a descent look on your store front. What I saw there was a lack of care for that restaurant so they shouldn't care about getting matching...

The sushi rolls were very good. I just was notified to post a review and it's been a week so I cannot remember specifically which rolls she and I bought, but they were fresh and very very good. The crab meat wantons we're excellent! Probably some of the best I've eaten anywhere lately. Don't let the exterior fool you, the place has a very nice interior and great service! I'm from Columbia but I've lived in Orlando, been to Chicago twice, and all over the country. We love Asian especially Japanese cuisine, and I can yet say, we were very pleased with our meal! This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in this town. Lately, the food just isn't what it used to be. The sushi rolls are barely filled and both pieces on the ends aren't worth eating. The owners used to be very friendly, but the last 4 times we've went they have been pretty rude with a nasty attitude. My teenage kids used to love it as well and even they said the food and the terrible service isn't worth the money anymore. Always kids in their kitchen running around touching things. I will try a Yamato chain if we find one out of town, but we're washing our hands...
