I am absolutely heartbroken by this. We used to come here for years. Living in Clintonville for a long time. Now it seems to be going downhill really fast. This last visit was exactly like all the other recent reviews. Ordered a large crimson cup mocha freeze, regular mayan mocha iced and 2 bacon/gouda sandwiches. The person taking the order read it back to us and everything was correct. After a really long wait, finally get to the window. The crimson cup mocha is ready to go and is correctly made. Then they hand us the "iced mayan mocha". It is blended and definitely too light to be a mayan mocha. Then we get 1 sandwich. We try asking if this is supposed to be an iced mayan mocha and they got confused. Look over the order and then tried to give us another large crimson cup micha freeze, which we already got. They look over the order again and claim the ticket was ran through wrong (even though earlier they repeated the order back correctly). Then they tried to tell us what they made was a frozen mayan mocha. It was not. It even had WM written right on the lid for White Mocha!! But kept repeating it was a mayan mocha. They said they could remake it but I just said ill take it....simply because I didnt want to have to wait another 10 minutes for a drink. But we ended up waiting longer because they still forgot our 2nd sandwich. He was nice and all, but all the staff have changed and no one seems to care about what...
Read moreOverpriced, horrible service, not that great. Honestly, I'm not a fan of this coffee chain. They, to me, are trying really unsuccessfully to be Starbucks (Salted Caramel Mochas, pretty much everything...). And they are not even half as friendly with the same or more exorbitant prices. Everyone complains about Starbucks being expensive and yet, even the evil expensive Starbucks offers 50 cent refills for coffees whereas Crimson Cup just gives you a blank look and then shrugs and says "sorry." The Ohio State University campus Crimson Cups are especially gruesome as they are unavoidable and have the worst service of any coffee house I have ever been to. Including European coffee bars. Today, I got an iced tea and it was 2.95 for what would have been a Venti at Starbucks (about 80 cents more than Starbucks') and there was no option for a 50 cent refill (which there would have been at SB) and when I went to get a straw there were none, so I waited 10 minutes after hearing someone ask for the straws only to have the girl blankly come back up at another query (as if we should know) and say "we're out of straws." It is ridiculous that these kind of establishments are what they are expecting us (the students) to patronize. It's almost like they are trying to impress upon us the habit of expecting and bearing less than...
Read moreNever returning. I recently moved to Beechwold in March. This Crimson Cup is a very short walk from my house. This is why I've been a customer, and the only reason.
I first tried their iced coffee, which I found to be flavorless and not worth the price. I switched iced chai latte with a shot of espresso. The chai is fine but I can't speak to the espresso because they don't put it in. They splash it with iced coffee.
Customer service is okay at times, but never great. Today was the absolute worst experience so far and is why I'm not going back. No one was in line when I walked in to order my dirty chai. Several employees walked past the register without acknowledging me. A woman sipping on a drink in the back had to walk all the way to the front to take my order. After my order was placed, I sat and waited patiently. During my wait, I witnessed the next three customers order and get their drinks ahead of me. I guess I waited about 10 minutes.
And just like every time before, when I ask for an "iced chai latte with a shot of espresso," I get an iced chai latte with a splash of iced coffee.
No need to try and make this right because I'm not giving you the opportunity to do so. There is a Starbucks inside the Target on the other side of Morse, they will be getting my business...
