The Buckeye Lady — Restaurant in Columbus

The Buckeye Lady is my favorite place to get buckeyes in Columbus 😍 ! The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. I personally try to limit my dairy intake so the vegan buckeyes are my go-to ! I’ve had the original, cookies & cream, pb&j and puppy chow in the vegan flavors I believe, and I most recently tried the regular carrot cake buckeye.

( p.s- the vegan ones are so good, you can’t even tell they’re vegan! We all know those vegan items at certain places that “taste vegan” but these are not like that at all ! )

All of them are delicious! If you love chocolate and pb, you’ll love these. You get a nice crunch from the chocolate on the outside and any crunchy pieces mixed in such as the Oreos or puppy chow pieces. Meanwhile the center is smooth and creamy. It’s all together a cute, decadent little sweet treat.

If you are one of those pb&j lovers who like a greater ratio of peanut butter to jelly, you’ll love their pb&j buckeye.

The center of the carrot cake buckeye is like a soft carrot cake flavored cake pop without the added nuts or raisins. Chocolate, peanut butter and carrot cake are 3 of my favorite things and normally I wouldn’t think the flavors would marry well together, BUT IT WORKS!

Now about these stuffed buckeyes... these are not your normal buckeyes with just peanut butter and chocolate. They are big and chocked full of added ingredients for a unique flavor profile! The hardest part is deciding which stuffed buckeye to order with so many options available. So far I’ve tried cookies and cream, hazelnut cream, thick mint, and toffee. And all of them were so tasty. The hazelnut and thick mint were my favorites... such amazing combinations with the peanut butter and chocolate. I cannot wait to try the puppy chow stuffed buckeye soon too!

The Buckeye Lady makes dangerously delicious buckeyes - be sure to order a few because they will leave you wanting more or wishing you ordered more! And they are great to share, but no judgement if you order them all for yourself...

On Tuesdays, I explore new places for a meal. The restaurant I chose shall remain nameless as it was a little lackluster. I left there wanting something more. So I googled nearby desserts, and the buckeye lady popped up. We had never heard of the store, but are more than familiar with the Typical chocolate and peanut butter treat. I was hoping this might salvage my day of exploring, and it did not disappoint! There were flavors I didn’t know I needed it in it, and now I do. The staff member that was assisting us, was very patient and answered more questions than she probably felt she needed to to make one sale! I cannot tell you how much everyone should have a PB and J Buckeye. Also adding cinnamon roll cream cheese frosting in the middle and a sprinkle of cinnamon is pure genius. Salted caramel with a crisp pretzel is also a solid choice. But my absolute favorite out of the pack was the coconut and almond. Do not sleep on that one. I don’t know if it’s a seasonal flavor or if that’s something they have all the time. But get you one! I wish I could give more stars...
