I don't go to Chipotle much these days because it is so hit or miss if the food is made well. Generally Moes Southwest Grill gets my business now. I quit going to this location a few years ago becuase they put literally 2 cubes of steak on 3 soft tacos. Like 2 total, not 2 on each taco. I decided to give this place a shot again about a week ago. Service and food was excellent, so I decided to go back again at exactly 8:30pm on 01/02/21. Service was really awful. As I walked in I could tell just from the body language of the kid working the burrito warmer section that I was not wanted. I wasn't sure why he acted like that cause it was an hour and a half before close. I almost turned around at that point but there was a girl in front of me, and 3 people behind me already. As I was waiting I overheard the girl server tell the customer in front of me "sorry, this is all the cheese we have for the night". Which basically meant she was too lazy to bother walking to the fridge to get a new one. When it was my turn they literally gave me cheese dust and said they were out for the night. This is not an exaggeration. There was not a single shred of cheese, just cheese dust leavins that were stuck to the girls fingers from the previous order. Now is a good time to mention I never complain at Chipotle. I have never ask for more of anything, and I didn't this time either. I believe that it all evens out over time. Which is bad thinking cause it should just be made consistent, like it was 10 years ago. Anyway, I thought since they were out of cheese that maybe if I got queso that they would compensate me by not charging for the queso. I was wrong. Ended up spending $10.00 on a burrito, and I didn't complain at all. I wont go back to Chipotle again. It shouldn't be a gamble if your burrito is made well. There are too many consistent places that are cheaper to give my money. Sadly, Chipotle doesn't feel like a restaurant anymore. It feels like a numbers oriented, big business. I can see this on the faces of the staff when I go in. It's not the workers fault, it's the organizations as a whole, for creating the environment. Also, if the cheese is such a big deal that you have to sprinkle dust on now, then weigh it out and make people pay extra for more. It's not that hard. You don't have to be cheap...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ate a delicious meal last night [1-24-2023] at Chipotle Mexican Grill at 4489 N. High St. in the "Clintonville" neighborhood of Columbus.
I had been planning to eat at a different restaurant [several blocks to the south] but that other restaurant had unexpectedly been closed so I ate instead at Chipotle Mexican Grill.
As a long-time Chipotle customer who has eaten at many different Chipotle restaurants over the years, I had assumed that the food at this particular Chipotle would be as delicious as it has always been at other locations. My assumption had been absolutely correct so I am glad that I had decided to eat there last night.
I ordered two new-to-me items: a "Garlic Guajillo Steak" bowl and "Chips and Queso Blanco."
I had ordered more food than I typically order at Chipotle because I had brought with me a Chipotle "gift card" that I had wanted to completely deplete because each time I had used it over the years to pay for a meal at Chipotle, the cashier had always had to manually type in the number.
This Chipotle Mexican Grill had been quite crowded and busy while I had been there. It had been almost impossible for the staff people behind the counter to hear what I had been saying to them and for me to hear what they had been saying to me.
It took several minutes for my cashier to successfully type in my Chipotle "gift card" number [she eventually had to ask for help from a manager] which had greatly added to what had already been a long line. I am glad that that "gift card" is now depleted.
If you are looking for some delicious Mexican food, I recommend eating at the Chipotle Mexican Grill at 4489 N. High St.
I do want to suggest that you eat there during "non-rush" hours if you would like to eat a more relaxed meal than I had eaten...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey were annoyed and wanted me to show them my name when I grabbed my order from the pick up shelf. Since it was my order, and I was making sure it was ready anyway and had my phone out with the order summary and am not a chipotle thief, I obliged. Since I donāt usually have to scroll through the app as Iām being interrogated to find my actual name each time I order pickup, I first showed the summary screen with the time and proof that order was ready. Then the employee asked me to āshow them my nameā⦠even after I showed my pickup was ready! You really think Iām that dedicated to stealing $10 of food? Is it a new company policy that you have to show proof of purchase before picking up your order from the online store āpickupā shelf? Lol this is the last chipotle out of like the last 10 I have been to that I trust, and this just annoyed me even more than all the times theyāve cheated me on my double chicken. Youāre on my last nerve chipotle. Put up a sign if Iām not supposed to grab MY order, instead of letting stores do whatever they want, like all the other ones Iāve been to seem to be doing. I want to be clear Iām not mad at the employee, if she reads this, Iām mad at chipotle for forcing you guys to hide the pickup orders behind the pickup shelf instead of developing a solution that doesnāt involve the employees who are already busy having to try and pay attention to it. Letās at least hope this burrito bowl is thicc, cause this bag feels heavy af
Update: they gave me an extra burrito and chips in my order. So if you go here just know you may get extra food or you may be missing a few items....
