First time here and was excited to try their foods. The space is pretty lively, with lots of TVs for sports and entertainment. I'm sure it can get pretty loud on game nights and during sporting events. The bar is pretty stocked and there's plenty of seating inside and outside.
We were seated quickly and each staff we came across was super kind and very nice. They were all accommodating, friendly, and nice!
We came on a Tuesday and they had a Pastor Taco deal for $2. We order some and they came with some cucumbers, limes, and they were double tortilla corn tacos. The flavor of the tacos were a bit lacking for me and they were topped with canned pineapples, which isn't terrible but it could be better. I feel like the spices or flavoring of the meat was slighty underwhelming but overall, can't complain for $2. It also came with 3 types of salsas and the habanero salsa was super spicy but so good! We also got frozen margaritas, we got one blackberry and we also got one that was a mix of strawberry and mango. They were both delicious but the strawberry mango marg was my favorite of the two. You can get a salt, sugar, or Tajin rim! By recommendation of our server/bartender, I would recommend the frozen margs.
Overall, the space is lively, fun, and staff was so nice. I feel like the food could be a bit better but I need to come back and try everything else.
Good place for sports, friends, and fun. Would recommend their frozen margaritas, for small or large groups, or just a casual...
Read moreThey're... Ok. I had hoped this place might help fill the huge gap in good Mexican restaurants in the Columbus area, something I've struggled to find since moving here from the southwest, but it's pretty average. I've certainly had worse. We live in the area so it's convenient to stop by, but I imagine we'll probably be waiting until the spring to go back because there currently is no website/way to order online/place to look at the menu, and the inside of the restaurant is a bit of a sensory nightmare. They have about 6 times the number of necessary lights, and they're ALL bright white. All of them. And then there's the bright gigantic TVs, and all the sound from them, the other diners, the music, and anyone standing around the bar. We were able to eat at the patio, which is the only reason we stayed, though the ambiance was a bit marred by a very loud and inconsiderate table of high schoolers making offensive comments about the unhoused (not the restaurant's fault, just added to the already off vibe). At the end of the night, we were also given the wrong bill - one that was much more than ours. Willing to try other menu items once it's nice enough to enjoy the patio at night again, but the initial impression did not leave me wanting to return...
Read moreStopped in here for the first time today. It's in the old Old Bag of Nails building. We were immediately greeted outside by a gentleman worker who was very friendly. He came over and checked on us throughout our meal as well and we talked about happy hour specials, reservations, that type of thing. He seemed very appreciative of business. Our waitress was Wendy and she was friendly and attentive. Food was very good! The only downside is that it's small portions for a little higher of a price. The tacos are sold individually and they are the smallest tacos I've ever seen, and for a larger price. One tiny shrimp taco was $4.50. We got a steak quesadilla which we thought was reasonable for $11, but it's only maybe at best 2/3 the size of a typical quesadilla. But delicious. I got the Habanero's grilled chicken and it was really good. $19 might have been a couple dollars higher than typical at other local places, but it was good and it was plentiful enough for me. I would go back here again, but I probably would not buy individual tacos, simply due to the small size and the large cost. They do taste like they use good quality ingredients though. The restaurant was clean, bright,...
