CRMD — Restaurant in Columbus

ordered online and when I received our order the ice cream was just regular cookie dough and not the funky blue color. I called immediately because I had a little one that was specifically excited for the crazy colors and suuuuuper unhappy when that’s not what we for. The guy on the phone gave a nonchalant response of ‘oh you know with everything going on with the food dyes lately so it’s not dyed” I asked why it was still listed on delivery sites and their website that all the flavors were the funky colors (like the blue I expected) and he had no response. I thought maybe mine was just wrong and I was going to pop in to correct it and get the blue ice cream but he insisted none of them were colored. Super unhappy because I can get plain cookie anywhere for a fraction of the cost. After that I emailed the store/owners directly from the email listed on their website store to ask about this and have not received any response...

I spent a long time trying to remember a time when I had ice cream that was worse than the ice cream from "CRMD." I couldn't. I ordered 3 scoops in a cup, which was $7 ($1 more than 3 scoops from Jeni's, mind you). They put all 3 scoops on top of each other in the smallest cup I have ever seen, which meant that even though I ate the ice cream pretty fast, I had to resort to licking it like it a cone. It still ended up melting everywhere and getting all over my hand. The food coloring in the ice cream was so hardcore, it stained my hands and lips. I ended up throwing the remainder of the ice cream in the trash- something I consider to be a cardinal sin. On top of all of this, the staff were not friendly.

This was hands down the worst ice cream experience...

I decided to finally check out CRMD, which was on my list of places to go for quite a while. What finally got me through the door was their collaboration flavor with Belle's Bread called Life in Columbus, which actually swirls the cream puff filling in with CRMD chocolate ice cream. But, when I got there, I accidentally ordered the flavor next to it, the Cookie Budder. I was very pleased with the Cookie Budder, but now I must go back to get the limited edition flavor collaboration with Belle's Bread. I also experienced CRMD in a collaboration with Basic Biscuits today, where I tried the Nordecke Crew flavor paired with a lemon/lavender biscuit. It was delicious!
