I've been on a mission to find a place that has the best Consommé with the best tacos, which is surprisingly harder to find than I thought it would be. Cuco's Birria tacos came up, definitely had to try them out. We showed up, placed our order for 2 orders of Birria Tacos (3 tacos per order), and within a really short amount of time both came out... like too fast. We didn't even have time to finish our chips & salsa. The tacos shells were SUPER HOT like definitely heated up to the point there were burnt crisps on the edges. The consomme was mainly oil and tasted like it unfortunately. The server was a bit pushy trying to get us to order their margaritas several times, and since we didn't, we weren't much of a priority and felt rushed out of there. We received our check before we were even done. I had to ask if it was too late to order dessert. I ordered their flan and it definitely had a hint of bourbon in it, which I love flan and bourbon separately but together just wasn't it for me personally. Unfortunately, the mission continues.

I had my heart set on the banana chimichanga they offered during Restaurant Week last month. I was unable to make it then. Alas it was not on the menu and there was no offer to make it special, so I just made the most of a sad situation and got the La Mexicana- chili relleno stuffed with chicken, a small enchilada, refried beans, and Mexican rice. Also there was something wrapped in a steamed corn husk (not sure what it's called). Everything was good. Service was alright too. As for ambience, I am a fan of the colorful, yet spaghetti western, layout. Cool. Will I be back though? Considering it's a 25 minute drive from home, probably not. Unless they bring back the banana chimichanga.

This is an okay place for authentic Mexican food that's hidden away in a plaza. They have an extensive menu of just about any dish you'd want with chicken, fish, steak, and vegetarian options. The meats could use much more flavor, but the I guess that leaves room to experiment with all of their salsas. I haven't had anything excellent, but the other components of the dishes (rice, beans, sauces) are pretty good with generous portions. Margs and desserts are other menu options that may be more appealing, but I can't speak from experience. Either way, you'll likely walk away from Cuco's full, but not with the feeling that you've had amazing Mexican food.

I am glad things don’t change. Great prices with large portions. Lunch at a place we have not been in a LONG time. Still the same minus the Salas Bar 😒. Everything was delicious. We started with an amazing Nachos with ground beef. $7.99 ME I got the Chicken / Steak Fajitas combo. $15.99 DAD Lunch Special Steak Fajitas $10.99 MOM Lunch Special Numero Uno $8.99 Chilli Relleno, beef dorado taco, recites, and Guacamole Salad. It was a nice surprise.
