Family Care and SUPERB (Muy Bien) Mexican Food!

I am delayed in my post, but CMH is my hometown and I was visiting my Mom on June 26th since we were out shopping and needed some better kind of take out food for lunchtime. My Mom has been to this restaurant with her girlfriends and adores the service, even in the Spring/Summer 2021 COVID times where the staff is most welcoming and lets them enjoy a longer lunch, in which retired ladies are able to finally do in their lives. My Mom and I got Guacamole dip and it was tasty and not too spicy, perfect! I got the Fish tacos and adored the sauce on the tacos and the fish was baked/boiled and was tender, YUM! My Mom got the enchiladas and she couldn't finish them and I tasted the chicken in hers and oh my the chicken was prepared so tender, it almost melted in my mouth! FIRST Time every eating out in my many adult yrs where chicken that is usually dry and tough was NOT! Cuco's cares about their food and we could tell when we did curb side pick up to take our lunch home, the Gentleman was most kind and said thank you! CMH residents, you desire SUPER TASTY and Mom and Pop (Mama and Papa) Mexican cuisine that is perfectly prepared and packaged for take out (or you can eat in the restaurant as my Mom and her friends have done). When I come back to visit, Mom and I are coming back for either curbside take out or dine in. Blessings...

My friend and I had this place recommended to us and we love trying out ethnic restaurants all around Columbus. We won't be back. Starting at the front door all the way to our booth next to the kitchen (?) and in our booth, there was a smell like urine, that we finally decided must be their mopping solution. You could feel something tacky on the floor, she said it was like that all the way into the ladies room, and I know that means mop water isn't being changed often enough, and no rinse process was used. My beverage didn't get refilled, and since it was mostly ice, would have liked something to drink after the meal. I only saw one waitress, and she was also the hostess, and collector of the debit card, and had to go get all the food as there was no one else serving, so I still tipped $5 on a $23 lunch bill for two. My food was ordered with cheese, but didn't come with cheese. My friend's soup wasn't hot but by the time the waitress returned, we didn't bother asking to have it reheated and left it there. Three tables needed clearing, as we left. The signs were present that the front of the house is short-handed to the point they can't deliver a clean floor and good service, and that makes me worry about what corners are being cut in the kitchen. Decor is lovely. Parking close by. But not good enough for a...

Terrible customer service. Normally I order this restaurant through door dash and normally I enjoy it. But after tonight I will never be ordering anything from them again. On Door dash they are set up as having their own delivery drivers, which is fine. Or it was fine until tonight when I called to check the status of my order. I had already been waiting over an hour for my food and was told by the app that it had been delivered, even though it had not. I even checked my neighbors to make sure that it wasn't misdelived to one of them by mistake. When I called the man over the phone was very rude and unwilling to assist. When I did finally get him to check on my order he said that it was there and that Door Dash needed to send someone to pick it up or I needed to get it. When I explained to him that through door dash they are supposed to have their own delivery drivers he said that no, they weren't and called me a liar. When I asked him to just refund me he said I would have to contact door dash. When I told him Door Dash told me to contact the restaurant he laughed and said it wasn't the restaurants fault. Needless to say I hung up very angry and hungry. There are plenty of other good local Mexican restaurants to get food from. I will not continue to give my business to one who cares so little for their...

Tacos and tequila
V-ManV-Man
I've been on a mission to find a place that has the best Consommé with the best tacos, which is surprisingly harder to find than I thought it would be. Cuco's Birria tacos came up, definitely had to try them out. We showed up, placed our order for 2 orders of Birria Tacos (3 tacos per order), and within a really short amount of time both came out... like too fast. We didn't even have time to finish our chips & salsa. The tacos shells were SUPER HOT like definitely heated up to the point there were burnt crisps on the edges. The consomme was mainly oil and tasted like it unfortunately. The server was a bit pushy trying to get us to order their margaritas several times, and since we didn't, we weren't much of a priority and felt rushed out of there. We received our check before we were even done. I had to ask if it was too late to order dessert. I ordered their flan and it definitely had a hint of bourbon in it, which I love flan and bourbon separately but together just wasn't it for me personally. Unfortunately, the mission continues.

I had my heart set on the banana chimichanga they offered during Restaurant Week last month. I was unable to make it then. Alas it was not on the menu and there was no offer to make it special, so I just made the most of a sad situation and got the La Mexicana- chili relleno stuffed with chicken, a small enchilada, refried beans, and Mexican rice. Also there was something wrapped in a steamed corn husk (not sure what it's called). Everything was good. Service was alright too. As for ambience, I am a fan of the colorful, yet spaghetti western, layout. Cool. Will I be back though? Considering it's a 25 minute drive from home, probably not. Unless they bring back the banana chimichanga.
