Never a bad meal here! GoreMade is one of the spots that is firmly in my restaurant rotation. Its always so good, the pizza is light, the ingredients are fresh, the salad is delicious… one of my favorite comfort spots in the city! 🍕 GoreMade 936 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43201 #bestpizza #ohiopizza #columbusohio #cbus #cbusfoodscene #614eats #columbusfoodie #onebite #onebiteeveryoneknowstherules

Finally went and tried Goremade on Friday 01/22/21. Been on my list of cbus pizza places to try for a while and I was inspired by the pizza bracket going around Columbus blogs. Ordered a 12" Clintonvillain, 12" sausage and carmelized onion, and a 12" pepperoni, sausage, and carmelized onion. Total was $46 which isn't too bad for specialty wood fired pizza. Overall the pizza was tasty, sauce seemed basic but flavorful - likely San Marzano tomatoes blended/cooked. Toppings were very good, pepperoni was definitely Ezzo cup and char, which is a staple in the Columbus area. Sausage might have been from Ezzo as well. Onions were carmelized very well. Their dough is flavorful albeit a bit on the thin side for the price point, but because of it being sort of thin they're able to get a nice crisp and a little char on the crust and bottom. My main issue is the lack of cheese on the pizza. I had to add cheese myself when I got home, which is ridiculous for what they're charging for a 12". Look everyone loves pizza and I totally understand why they balance the weight of cheese and toppings with the thickness of the dough so that they can slide it off the peel into the oven without it sticking, but more cheese please. Looking at the other photos of the pizza it appears they're pretty consistent with the amount of cheese they put on their pizzas, I just think it's not enough. Definitely a good pizza place for wood fired style, overall I rate it a 4.7 with the additional cheese I added, but a 4.5 without. Since google doesn't allow decimal reviews I rounded up to a 5.

My wife stumbled upon this place online, and I must say it...is...amazing! We've passed Goremade Pizza several times and never noticed it. On the outside, it has a very unassuming appearance. But once inside, it's full of charm and ambiance. The staff were very kind and welcoming. There's not much seating, but perfect for just the two of us. The service was on point. Everything we needed was provided often without us having to ask. We love the taste of coal fired pizza, but other places that we've visited have taken up to 45 minutes or so for us to be served. Not so at Goremade Pizza. We ordered salad, cheesy bread, and two pizzas. It was served 'course style', so each item followed the previous, and the timing of the delivery for each item was perfect. As for the taste, everything was great! The salad came in a box, which was different, but nevermind that, it was delicious. Followed by the cheesy bread, which was served on a thin crust, and was very light even. I didn't feel full after eating it. Which left plenty of room for the pizza. I'm a classic pepperoni pizza guy, so that's what I had. While my wife opted for the custom pizza option. And by custom, they chose what kind to make for her. She have two items that she absolutely didn't want on it. But then they created a pizza of their choice. She loved it! Goremade Pizza has now been added to our favorites list. I'd recommend it to everyone. It's truly one of Columbus' hidden gems.

Look, all I'm gonna say is get the frickin garlic boat. Get like 3. For those who are aligned with the maxim that there is no such thing as too much garlic, these are for you. From the perfectly thin and chewy (and ever so crispy) crust, to the melty fresh mozz on top of the slam ya in ya face buttery salty garlic flavor - this has got to be on my mount Rushmore of garlic breads. It's the rare type that doesn't even need marinara, but the sauce served with it is an awesome compliment. The pizza was really good, I'd say just under a 7/10. It was a bit underdone for my preferences - almost no browning. I was looking for a more well done pie with some char and flop-less crust integrity, and will definitely be back to try again with a well done bake that I suspect could easily raise it into 8-9 territory. Food aside, the hospitality and ambiance are second to none. An absolutely wonderfully warm interior will help you forget you're in the midst of the busy growing neighborhood around you, and a surprisingly spacious patio awaits you out back to give you a nice little return to nature as you eat and drink. The staff was as genuinely welcoming as it gets; I felt truly valued as a customer and it felt more like I was having a chat with an old friend rather than facing off with an employee that was waiting for me to order and get it over with. A true diamond in the rough from beginning to end. Now go get that...
