I will NEVER be returning to this nail salon. I went in on Wednesday to get my nails done and the receptionist recommended me to get the Gel-X nails. Not only did the nail technician Kevin give me a hard time about how short I wanted my nails, he also did such a poor job when applying the chrome and then made another nail tech come and fix it because he "had other things to do". He left all my nails dented, cracked, and clumpy and after not wanting to have to pay full price the receptionist told me that she couldn't discount me and that I had to deal with what I had. She treated me like I was a piece of garbage and dismissed every concern that I had. I paid and extra $15 for chrome and my nails came out to $110 when they looked like a toddler did them. After leaving the salon MISERABLE, two of my nails popped right off not even 30 minutes after leaving. They let me come in the next day to get it fixed and I changed my polish color because the chrome looked clumpy and every nail was dented, and the nail tech Kevin told me that I HAD to pay an additional TWENTY DOLLARS for the polish change. After having to sit at the front desk and fight the technician and the receptionist I left so unhappy. After getting my nails REPAIRED, another two nails popped off not even an hour later.I am so disgusted and dissatisfied with the way that I was treated by everyone at this salon and I have never encountered such bitter and distasteful people in my LIFE. I will NEVER be returning after this and I DO NOT recommend anyone go here unless you want to pay an outlandish amount of money for nails that do not even last THIRTY MINUTES and look like absolute TRASH. If this is the way that these workers in this salon treat their customers then they should not expect any new customers to ever come in. This is the WORST experience I have EVER HAD. If I could give ZERO...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went this shop for my birthday (July 26th) and the stylist ruined my nail beds. I took the nails off after a little over a month knowing how badly it was going to look underneath because during the appointment, she over filled my nails down to the skin.
Hereās my original review after I complained to the owner and shop secretary:
Unfortunately what should have been a much more relaxing, first time manicure experience turned very quickly into a regretful one.
During my nail appointment, the nail tech, Alyssa, failed to provide a satisfactory experience for a number of reasons.
The first being the shape and size of the nails I requested (medium length & almond shape).
The second being after I communicated my dissatisfaction with the first set, my manicure was further mishandled when Alyssa over-filed my natural nails (down to the skin on certain areas) in an attempt to fit the correct gel-x sizing on my fingers.
The third issue was a general roughness with my natural nails and lack luster finish of my manicure (glue to my skin and improper gel polish application). It was also my first manicure professionally and my birthday gift.
The experience was saved by the woman who did my pedicure. She did a wonderful job and I have no notes for Jacelyn.
Hereās the state of my nails currently after home removal of the extensions. You can see how intensely she filled my nails because thereās a āring of fireā on all of them.
I didnāt do the best removal job because my nails are very delicate. I left a little gel on some nails to keep them from breaking further. Iām just so annoyed and disappointed because now I have to put in extra effort to recover my nails for something I couldāve did at home.
The only reason this isnāt a one star is because my pedicurist...

I am a dark skin female that wanted pink French tip, cheetah print nails when I showed The nail tech the design she said she can do it when she starts to do it, and I noticed that she couldnāt achieve the French tip design and she started to make what look like to be polkadots. I told her I did not like it.
She said to me āmaybe itās because of your skin color is the reason why you donāt like itā and proceeded to say āyeah this nail design does not look good on your skin colorāā¦..
At the moment I didnāt recognize the Colorist comment but few days has passed and I thought about that interaction And Iām very much offended by that comment so I wonāt be coming back to this nail salon. Because this is my second time getting her, and also this is the second time she couldnāt do a nail designā¦. That says a lot in itself, huh?𫤠(First time she had to call Another nail tech over to help her that did the design in less than three minutes⦠BUT ANYWAYS..)
I was going to let it slide and forget about it but no this type of behavior needs to be reported. because my skin color has nothing to do with me liking a design or not. Sorry not sorry.
and I was nice enough to still tip herā¦. I shouldāve NERVERRR tipped her after that rude comment of her basically telling me I was too dark for this nail design.
Next time take accountability that you couldnāt do a simple design instead of blaming the customer about a no design they wanted.
Skin color had nothing to do with it, Itās your incompetent skills that obliged you from completing this nail set that I requested.
Watch what you say, especially in this generation where you or the business can easily get canceled for comments like that.
Nail tech: Rahel (I think thatās how you...
