I came here for lunch with high expectations due to all of the positive reviews. Upon entering I found the menu was on the wall and was hard to read with the glare from the windows. I asked and they do not offer paper menus. I chose the panini with Chipotle Chicken and potato skins. The gentleman taking my order informed me they did not have the potato skins, so I decided on the salad. In choosing a new side I forgot to pick the bread for my sandwich and he did not offer a choice, instead deciding for me. It was only a short wait for the food. While waiting I looked around and noticed everyone was finished eating yet they all had a pile of dirty dishes on their table. The first thing I tried was my salad. It was greens and tomatoes tossed in what tasted like plain olive oil. It couldn’t have been more boring and unimpressive. The sandwich was chicken, cheese and avocado. The sauce had good flavor, but the bread was so hard that when I tried to take a bite it squished all of the chicken and avocado out. The whole time I was eating my sandwich I had to fight with the bread and try to hold the ingredients inside. Needless to say for $17 this plate was a huge disappointment. In my opinion it was way overpriced for what you get. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice except the “background” style music was way too loud. Maybe we made a mistake by not choosing breakfast. I think if you’re going to charge high prices then the food should be great. I could’ve made the exact same thing I ordered at home for way less and next...

I’ve been wanting to try this place for some time. Entering the business, the atmosphere was nice and inviting. The fancy coffee equipment gave the impression that they really knew their stuff.
The bakery items on display looked great, and I asked the staff if all the items were made in-house. She said yes. Being a fan of carrot cake, I was excited to see it as an option, so I ordered a slice.
I also ordered a regular coffee, nothing fancy. The barista told me that the only drip coffee available was French roast and asked if that would be okay. I agreed and ordered a medium.
I decided to eat the carrot cake while I was there because I was excited to try it, but I was quickly disappointed. The cake was dry, and the icing seemed to be compensating for it.
I waited until I got to work to drink the coffee, but the flavor was terrible. I couldn’t even finish it. To make matters worse, when I poured it into a cup, there were coffee grounds left behind. Nobody wants to find grounds in their coffee.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. They could’ve done better, and I expected more based on the first impression. Will I go back? Probably not, unless it’s just for the carrot cake. Hopefully, they improve.
After I paid, I received a notification inviting me to add their company to my wallet. It looked like an international chain, and the sign-up involved receiving solicitation texts to join a rewards program, so I chose...
Read moreI visited the newly opened café, Le Fernández, located in Columbus, Indiana. Clean atmosphere and exceptional service.
I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and inviting ambiance of the café. The staff members were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service throughout my visit, making me feel welcomed and valued as a customer.
I decided to order a medium latte and opted for the "Venice Crepe" on the menu. The latte, priced at $5.05, unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The coffee had a noticeably bitter and burnt taste, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the beverage. As someone who appreciates a well-balanced and smooth latte, I was a bit disappointed. Unsure if their machine wasn’t calibrated correctly or they just use dark roast beans to make the expresso.
The "Venice Crepe," priced at $12.95, the combination of blueberries, bananas, brown sugar, and rum sauce sounded delightful. The crepe was overpowered by a little bit too much rum sauce. That being said the flavors were amazing and I do recommend it. Just ask for little less sauce.
One aspect that I found noteworthy was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Their exceptional service truly made a difference, and I commend them for their efforts in providing a welcoming environment for patrons.
It is worth mentioning that the prices at Le Fernández may be a little bit high for a small town cafe but can be a nice treat every...
