Four years ago I left the following review ... When you're in the mood for good Tex-Mex food, this is the place to go. Very good service usually. Friday and Saturday night and Sunday's lunch, you can expect to wait for 20 minutes for a table. So get there early. I have tried everything on the menu, but everything I have tried, has not left me disappointed. My favorite is the Pollo Del Mar (grilled chicken breast smothered in a cream sauce with shrimp and grilled onions). There is also complimentary ice cream cones (vanilla, chocolate, or both) on your way out.

Our recent experience shows how much this restaurant has changed and apparently the owner does not care. My family and I were there on Friday May 28, 2021 and it was not a pleasant experience. We attended my grandson's graduation and he wanted to eat at Cabos to celebrate. We went for lunch, were seated at a table and ordered by 11:15 ... Several others came in and their meals were brought to their tables, and ours were not. Our waiter was avoiding our table, so we asked one of the men refilling our drinks to have the waiter come over. When he did he was apologizing right away. He said the kitchen was backed up because their head chef wasn't there that day (that excuse didn't pertain to the other people who were eating what they'd ordered). By this time it was 5 after noon. My husband told him that if we didn't have our meal in 5 minutes we were leaving. The 5 minutes came, still no meal, we started packing up babies and the waiter came back with the fries we'd ordered for one of our grandsons. The fries were gray, and I could tell they'd been under a heat lamp for quite a while. They were cold to the touch and greasy. The waiter said it would be ANOTHER 5 minutes to get our meal. The owner was there. He had been walking around, and my daughter noticed him talking to our waiter. Apparently he wasn't concerned about us at all. We don't...

I had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant , and it all started with something as simple as asking for the Wi-Fi password. In this day and age, having access to Wi-Fi at a restaurant is pretty standard, yet this place either doesn’t care or just doesn’t get it.

Upon arrival, I politely asked for the Wi-Fi passcode after ordering. The server gave me a blank stare and said, “We don’t give that out.” No explanation, no alternative, just a dismissive tone. I tried to explain that I needed it for work, but the staff couldn’t have cared less. It’s shocking that a place would be so indifferent to something so basic and essential.

Even worse, the attitude of the staff was unbelievably rude. They acted like my request was a huge inconvenience. The lack of customer service skills was astonishing. The server was inattentive, and I had to flag them down multiple times just to get basic items like utensils and water. It felt like they were going out of their way to ignore me.

If they can’t even provide something as simple as Wi-Fi, I can’t imagine they care about the quality of their food or service. The overall experience left a bitter taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. I’ll never be returning, and I highly recommend avoiding this place if you value decent service or basic respect...

Want to start off by saying we wanted to go to Nancy's Steakhouse on July 4th, but they were closed. So we picked Los Cabos instead because they are owned by the same people. Had a 20 minute wait. I wouldn't have minded except when we sat at the bar to have pre-dinner cocktails, there wasn't a bartender on staff. We finally sit down and order our drinks. My wife had the house margarita, and I had the Hecho en Mexico. They were nothing to write home about considering they were $8 and $11 respectively. Ordered the guacamole salad appetizer which was large but basic. I had the chile relleno.... It wasn't egg battered and deep fried AT ALL!!! It was a stuffed steamed pepper, and that annoyed me a lot. The sides were basic, lacking the robust flavor I expected from them. My wife had the tamale plate. She said the tamales weren't "made with love". We had the same sides. Got the check and while we were trying our best to finish the not so good cocktails, they kept low key trying to rush us out!!! I'm sorry but if this is what Nancy's is like now, I won't eat at either again. This was our anniversary dinner. It was so subpar, I told my wife I owe her another dinner. Please just let this be...

Traveling from San Antonio to Houston and stopped to eat here. The staff was nice. The people refilling our drinks were super nice; they were better than our server who wasn’t very friendly or helpful when ordering food. He was kinda off standish. Maybe, it was just really loud and hot in the table section. Idk 🤷‍♀️ However, the food was not very good. My brother and sister ordered fajitas for two and the supreme nachos large. My husband and I ordered Poblano chicken. I’ve never seen fajitas or the chicken meal smothered with so much sauce and onions. It looked like they ran out of other vegetables, so they added tons of onions. The rice and beans were delicious, except I had to keep picking out the onions from the rice. They weren’t diced onions either—it was like whole slivers. The nachos were okay. Idk 🤷‍♀️ maybe we ordered the wrong food. They also had a large party, so maybe that’s why the food wasn’t so great. The sweet tea was delicious though. Overall, I don’t believe the price matched the quality of the food we ordered. Shoutout to all the hard workers making sure our drinks were refilled. Thank you!

I’ve never been here before but I was driving through & heading to Houston.. me and a coworker decided on Mexican cuisine for lunch.. so I was nervous about eating in a new Mexican restaurant.. I checked the reviews, it had 4 1/2 stars, so I said what the hell..🤷🏻‍♂️ as soon as I pulled in, the place had a good size volume of customers.. first ✔️ went in to wash my hands, the bathrooms were spotless.. Second ✔️ chips were standard, but the salsa and sweet tea were awesome.. third ✔️ so now I was not as nervous anymore, then we ordered, The food was amazing and the portions were huge.. when I was done, I could not believe that I had passed this place up dozens of times, not knowing how freakin awesome this place & it’s food really was.. I just want to say thank you for the service/ambience & the amazing food.. I’ll be returning to this establishment on my next delivery out here.. if you’re reading this review, I highly recommend this place..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First I want to brag about my service it was the best loved it always checking to see if we needed anything food was out fast perfect, now I am the type that likes to see if my food is perfect so I hope no one gets mad red salsa and green need a little more spice, my tacos were good but need to fry or crisp up the taco shell so it won't get soggy quick, beans and rice were good, queso was perfect not to thick or to runny, burger was good, my son and friend said enchiladas were good, my husband loved his chalupas but again the shell got soggy quick. Nice clean friendly place would definitely recommend and that's because we were just driving through. I almost forgot I didn't get fajitas but I most definitely like the way yall make sure they stay hot.
