McDonald's — Restaurant in Columbus

Never again!! Went through this drive through today at 10:40am figured the kids and I would get lunch after doctors visits earlier this morning. I pull up give the girl my rewards code and proceed to order two Big Mac meals, only to be cut off by the girl telling me y’all don’t serve lunch until Noon. I went back and forth with this girl twice even explaining to her how the three previous cars before me all ordered from the lunch menu and that their menu was showing lunch before the girl cut me off by yelling I told you we don’t serve lunch until noon during the weekdays and 11 on weekends. So I drove off because at this point I’m just done with her uneducated person. I called the store and complained only to be cut off more by the manager telling me the girl was new, even though she is definitely not new because I’ve dealt with her last month using my code then telling me the discount couldn’t be applied bc the code was already used 🙄 not to mention I go there often and she has been there for a while. I instead went to the McDonald’s on Harrisburg pike and mound street where I tried to use my code which didn’t work because the girl used my code so I feel I should be compensated for my order. I feel this was racial discrimination for the simple fact I am a white female the three cars infront of me were African American and the girl taking the orders was also a different race, Juneteenth is today and the way your employee was acting and discriminating against people racially different from her should be unacceptable behavior and not tolerated, do better as an employer....

I LOVE giving out good reviews for great service but this is not one of those times! The food is usually always good and fresh but the staff needs coaching. Annemarie is an extremely disrespectful staff member. She forces customers to verify how to pronounce their name and will not allow you to pay unless you comply. She’s been doing this to me for 3 years & if I don’t tell her how to pronounce it she will make it harder for me to pay & move forward. When I do correct her, she will call me differently poorly pronounced version of my name & make me repeat the cycle. Then manager, Hunter refused to serve my 2 young kid’s breakfast even after being told they wouldn’t get breakfast at daycare bc we were already late & gave me a refund, because I finally snapped on Annemarie & told her I DONT HAVE TO VERIFY & CORRECT YOU ON MY NAME! IVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS! YOU KNOW WHO I AM! He smiled in my face & said “you know we don’t have to serve you”. Hunter doesn’t care of about children, integrity or quality service. I will be posting about this in our neighborhood Facebook groups. The disrespect I have been shown consistently for years by Annemarie is appalling. I’m tired of it. And today the manager denied my kids breakfast that was paid for to stick up for an employee who he knows disrespects me continuously is outrageous. The fries are hot but revenge is best...

It’s rare I have a pleasant experience at this McDonalds location. The service is subpar, the food is rarely fresh and correct, and the service is extremely slow.

My number one complaint is the insanely slow service. I’m amazed at just how slow the drive thru line moves at any given time. They added a second line however it’s doesn’t seem to make a difference. Majority of the time it takes a minimum of 20+ minutes from the time I order at the speaker to the time I finally leave with my food. I’ve attempted to go inside thinking it would make the experience faster but it has no effect. In fact it can be worse because they will literally ignore you standing there at the counter.

Secondly is the food. The food is rarely fresh and my order gets messed up a lot more then it should. I’m generally afraid to order the chicken or fish sandwiches at this location due to the fact it’s most likely going to be old and cold.

I received a fish sandwich last week that I added cheese on and it had a tiny little square of cheese that was 1/4 the size of the sandwich and it hadn’t even melted due to the sandwich being cold.
