I eat here regularly and get the same exact thing every time and it’s usually comes out to no more than $13 but tonight it was 16 so it’s getting more expensive and worse. For $16 I expect way better all the vegetables were in big chuck the tomatoes and the cucumber the chicken was extra fatty and then they throw in 4-5 olives for a whole rice bowl also asked for mild chicken and it was even a slight bit spicy that whole bowl was bland expect for the taste of the sauce idk I’m really disappointed I spent all that money here for something I won’t be eating wish I could get my money back I’ll be trying the other Greek restaurant in the area.
Update I took the food back to the restaurant and had to prove that the tomatoes were huge and the manager wanted to argue with me about the size of the tomatoes which then when she saw I wasn’t backing down she said I could only have half a refund because I ate a lot of chicken out of the bowl lol I assume because I’m black she assumed that but I barely ate any of that nasty fatty chicken but it doesn’t bother me I got half the money back and I’ll be disputing with my bank because that’s just pure ignorance and now I’m calling back to get her name for the review and they won’t answer idk how these people get into a management position no customer service skills but it’s fine I’ll be reporting her business every chance I get. Mind you I didn’t come in rude because it’s not that serious I bought the meal back to get a refund simple exchange at any other restaurant but the manager was hostile and almost offended I didn’t like her food and I’ve been coming here for 3 year won’t ever be back...
Read moreTHE NEW OWNER IS CHARGING TAX, * UP TO 23% *, ON TAKEOUT AND ONLINE ORDERS, and has been for over a month. It happened to us a few times before we caught the extra 16-23% tax per order. (We only ordered nontaxable food, not drinks.) We mentioned it the first time we noticed, and were told that others had also complained, but that only the owner could do something about it. Still not fixed, as of last week, as far as we know.
The kalamata olives listed on the menu are just black olives that aren't even good as such. Normally, I love all olives, but these taste the way that oven cleaner smells.
I am very suspicious of some of the recent good reviews since the new ownership took over. None of the food is as good as it used to be, and there is no way I will believe all of these sudden 5-star reviews for mediocre food with terrible olives in a strip mall with a 3/4-empty parking lot that usually can't be easily spotted from the road. Statistially speaking, it's highly unlikely that many people "just discovered" this place, loved it, and took the time to rave about it.
We used to love this place, and we gave it several chances to fix the tax thing and the food. We no longer go there. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. (But please be kind to the one person they kept from the previous ownership's staff--IYKYK--she's...
Read moreJulian, who took my order, had an incredibly warm presence. After explaining that I had never been in before, he walked me through the whole process and answered any questions I had. He even remembered my name after I added on something to my order. The pita I had ordered was extremely heavy when I pulled it out of my to-go bag, which made me very happy. Even double wrapped, which is a great sign. I had asked for extra banana peppers, and he DESTROYED it with peppers, which was exactly what I was looking for. I've never had Mediterranean food where I could get it at a spice level, so naturally I chose the hottest one (I prefer my food to punish me), and it was awesomely flavorful and pretty spicy. Falafel unlike I've ever had, with very nice earthy tones. I ate 3/4 of my pita before I even realized I ordered 2 different sides of sauces to try; it was so flavorful that no sauce was needed. Although I did eventually try my sauces, and was very impressed with a cinnamon flavor in the tahini, and the creaminess of the tzatziki easily led me to believe that they were both house made. It makes me extremely sad that I do not live in Columbus, but I will fondly remember this place and stop by again when the warm tastes of the Mediterranean begin...
