Mi Mexico Restaurant — Restaurant in Columbus

Used to be one of my favorite places but unfortunately I will not be back! Went there last weekend around 9pm, first that were out of strawberry margaritas! Then I ordered STEAK chimichanga, I get my food start eating and then I realized it wad not steak! So I ask the waiter what kind of meat it was, he had to have a 2 minute conversation with someone else about what kind of beef it was! So I say I asked STEAK, his reply was the kitchen is closed! By this time it was only 10pm, I said so you mean to tell me if I just came in you would not service me!? He just kept saying the kitchen is closed. I asked for the manager, he also kept saying the kitchen was closed so they were not going to remake my food! I had a to go order of the same thing so I told them if it was that same meat I didn't want that. The manager took my plate and said I'll take it off your bill. Didn't offer me anything else! I had to call Poblanos down the street to get my steak chimichanga. By that time it was 10:15pm their kitchen was OPEN and they were happy to take my money! These people at Mi Mexico were the rudest and most unprofessional people, they began sweeping their floors, sweeping trash all around our table! Turned off the TVs, we were watching the OSU game! Then stood there giving us death stare until we left! It's unfortunate that me and my 5 friends were treated this way! The food is always good. This experience left little to be desired though. It was cinqo de mayo so I figured it would be busy which wasn't the issue. The wait wasn't very long to get seated. When we got seated at least 15 minutes had passed and we still were not asked what we would like to drink. At this point we had passed the cutoff for happy hour. Other customers were seated after us had drinks ordered and brought to their table before we were even able to order our drinks. We had to get the attention of a gentleman who I assume was the restaurant manager before we could even order. I will add that we were able to get our drinks on happy hour prices which was the right thing to do. The waiter who finally came to take our order seemed very discombobulated which I think could have been because of the day but it actually wasn't busier than any other time that I have visited this location. The waiter forgot to bring things that were supposed to come with the meal I purchased. We even had to ask multiple times for a refill on iced tea. At one point the waiter had the tea in his hand and was about to leave with the tea and we had to say "hey, I believe that's ours". To start, we were greeted with a nice atmosphere. We were seated in a timely manner and our server seemed pleasant. This is where the experience took a turn. I ordered a #4 2 tacos with an enchilada no red sauce and queso the side. Both of my children ordered the #11 1 burrito, 1 enchilada and a taco w/ no red sauce but queso on the side. The substitution for red sauce stated it was an addt'l $.99. Our server suggested a bowl of queso since we all wanted it. I agreed thinking it would be $3-4.00. After. 20-25 minute wait for our food, it can out warm NOT hot, the taco shells and the flour tortillas were soaked in grease, the burritos and enchiladas had red sauce ON them. Since no one allegeric we started eating. The food was disgusting. It lacked flavor, the red tasted like it came from a can and the cheese was clumpy but still the best item 😑. Our server cam and asked how things were and stated "it's okay" and he left. When the check came the majority of the food was still on our plates. The bill was $41.89 and when I asked why the server stated the queso was $7. Wait what? I mentioned the above price and was told, that's what it says on the menu. At that moment he lost his tip.
