Mickey's Bar — Restaurant in Columbus

Normally I love coming here, especially for the karaoke! The MC for karaoke Sat night (6/29) had some anger issues with women though. I signed up for a song with my male friend, showed my friend the song, then gave it to the MC. I know which song I wrote down because my friend came up to me several times to sing it at me. When it was our turn, the MC had the right artist-wrong song-I told him “I’m sorry, i didn’t know this song”, and he got attitude saying “well that’s what you wrote!”. I told him it’s the same artist but gave him the correct title. He then played the right song, wrong artist (it wasn’t the duet version). I didn’t turn to talk to him, just to my friend saying “we can sing this but it’s not the duet version” and the MC overheard and FLIPPED OUT. He starts yelling “YOUVE CHANGED YOUR SONG THREE TIMES WHAT DO YOU WANT” I told him AGAIN and he finally figured it out. Later on in the night, he walks past my singing partner (male) who he never met before tonight and I, and gives him a high five while ignoring me. He also couldn’t figure out who signed up when and put people on there twice in a row which messed up the list order and was a general idiot. Moved to Columbus and my friend recommended this dive bar with karaoke on weekends I should go to, So I decided to check it out. I hope this isn’t the norm but my experience was awful. The bar itself was great and the other patrons were friendly but the bartender (don’t remember her name) was extremely rude and nonchalant. Drinks took forever after waiting for service. I’m almost certain she tossed a few drinks herself as one point in the night she was literally crying behind the bar. I don’t expect 10/10 service everywhere I go. But I feel a certain level of professionalism should be upheld. I will give this place another shot but if I see her working I’m certain to take my business elsewhere...

A couple friends from out of state came to visit and wanted to go to a karaoke bar. Never been here and wanted to give it a shot. It’s cash only, which thankfully I somehow had some. We ordered a few drinks which weren’t all that bad. The female bartender looked at all the drinks I ordered and just told me a price like she was just negotiating a price. It was weird. I noticed several times throughout the night she was drinking alcohol on the job as well. Like just why? The Karaoke was good until about 11pm when it got a little rowdy for me.
