On December 7th, I reserved the downstairs party room for my mom’s surprise retirement party. I worked closely with the Assistant General Manager, Kimberly Jakes, who was my point of contact from start to finish. On the night of the event, her service team, Jasmine and Kathryn, proved to be an incredible dynamic duo. They handled challenges that arose from the kitchen with professionalism and grace, thanks to Kimberly’s guidance. The bartenders Kiana and Nellie the drinks were well-made and delicious. We had a large group of 30 people, I asked Kimberly if we could pre-order our food to ensure that the kitchen could accommodate our needs. She informed me that “Because it is a variety of orders, the kitchen will be able to accommodate your party's needs”. The kitchen failed to meet our accommodation requests, even after I sent an email with 25 food orders for the guests. The kitchen manager received these orders on November 29, and a decision should have been made at that time to inform us that Shrimp and Grits would not be available on December 7. The kitchen manager should have communicated this to Kimberly, who could have suggested alternative menu items to me for the guests. Unfortunately, this communication did not happen, and everyone, including the guests who had pre-ordered, learned about the issue on the same day. Additionally, the kitchen ran out of catfish and grits. By the time the meals were served, they were lukewarm or cold. As a result, most of the party ended up taking their food home to reheat. Since it was a party, I ordered two servings of Red Chicken Wings from the private dining menu for the party, and they were excellent. However, I was very disappointed with the seasonal fruit tray. In my previous visits for brunch, I received high-quality fruit, fruit dip, and clusters of granola, but this time it lacked all of that. This tray did not include any fruit dip, and what I received was more like "granola dust” there wasn't a single cluster of granola. The granola appeared to be crumbs leftovers from that morning's brunch as well as the fruit. If it weren't for a photo taken at the party, I wouldn't have realized how small the platter was. I would have returned it and requested more wings instead of spending $200 on it. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of $200 for the fruit tray. Additionally, I placed an order for Berry Sangria that I intended to serve to my guest as a complimentary drink. However, someone above Kimberly made the executive decision to take my sangria back upstairs and sell it to the entire restaurant. Lastly, I sure hope you have resolved the little mouse problem before our return. I do enjoy your brunch, but I will not be...
Read moreFirst time here.....🔥🔥🔥🔥 Atmosphere, food, service, just excellent! 2 waters, appetizer crushed puppies, ultimate wedge salad, pork chop, prime rib, scalloped potatoes, sweet potatoes, banana pudding and peach cobbler...$142! Food was outstanding!!! I will say, not the biggest fan of the gruyere with the scalloped potatoes but my husband liked them. Shout out to our waiter, Xavier, very knowledgeable and gave wonderful service...also Madison kept our waters full, which is a must with all this delicious food! Lemme also say, the banana pudding will take you to another world, hands down the best I've ever had!! Recommend you make a reservation also. Can't say enough about this new Columbus dining spot...I will definitely be back!!
Second time here....James was our waiter and did a great job! We had the ultimate wedge salad and pork rinds appetizer which was delicious. Strawberry s'mores tart and banana pudding dessert....Deeeeelicous!! Banana pudding, I wish I could eat it everyday, all day!! LOL. Had fried hen plate with grits ...had a honey drizzle that was delicious but the grits were dry and under seasoned, had to ask for extra honey to put on it. Roasted sweet potatoes with kale were not good to me at all but my husband didn't mind them. Had the catfish with a grit/cornbread cake.....this plate was very disappointing...fish wasn't seasoned at all, the grit cake was so dry with no flavor at all and this scant amount of tomato like sauce over it didn't add anything to the plate. Still like this place alot but was definitely disappointed with our second trip there and it was my birthday dinner, soooo wish it was like the first time as noted above!
Third time here....wanted to try the new brunch menu they just started on Sunday, went at 11:45am...Had 2 waters, Millhouse breakfast, Millhouse Benedict with a side of potatoes....$45ish dollars. The breakfast plate was pretty good, the ham with some kind of maple like gravy is tasty...the Benedict was room temp at best, my egg was busted when it came out, the "Tabasco hollandaise" didn't taste like the name implies at all....it wasn't bad though, the potatoes were very good!.... a few kinks worked out for this menu and I know it will be awesome, it was the first weekend they did brunch so it took awhile to get the food also but as expected... definitely make a...

Although someone replied to my review and said they would like to make it up to us. When I did reach out they never mentioned anything about making it right. They just thanked me for thanking them for reaching out. ———————————— We have been to Millhouse for dinner a few times and have always had a lovely experience. However, this last time was just okay. We came to celebrate two birthdays and we marked it on our reservation notes, told the host and our server, but she was very busy at the time. We mentioned it again when we ordered dessert, but she was busy closing out a large table so we just let it be. It was a night where you could tell they were short staffed so we didn’t push the issue. We probably would have ordered a couple more rounds of drinks, but we couldn’t even get refills on our non alcoholic beverages and our first drinks from the bar took 25 minutes to come to the table. The food tasted great and we all agreed that the banana pudding was outstanding. I had ordered the chicken and biscuits which I also ordered the last time we dined there. I love it, it is flavored so well and comes in a cute personal Dutch oven, but sadly when I went to enjoy my leftovers the next day I chocked on a bone that was in a piece of the chicken. I didn’t realize it until it started to slip down, it was a definite panic moment because I was at home alone. Thankfully I had a piece of bread with the bite and it helped to stop the bone from sliding down too far and I was able to gag it up (sorry TMI). I called Millhouse and left a message two days in a row to just let them know. I didn’t hear back from anyone so I am posting a review in hopes people will check their meal prior to eating. I’ve been a GM before so I personally would want to know so that I could let the kitchen manager and prep staff know to double check the deboned chicken for bones that may have slipped through the process. I am a little upset that they didn’t care to reach out to me after we dropped an easy...
