So we're simple with pizza. We just order cheese. My daughter and I have had this twice now in the past few weeks. The crust is unique for a more traditional pie slice style as it's thin but has firmness that so many outside of the east coast fail to duplicate. It's not exactly the perfect fold either. I think many Ohio folks would prefer this crust style cut into squares. A little greasy, but that's because they were generous with the cheese, so have a napkin to dab that off, but the crust won't get soggy from it because it's firm. But the sauce is equally important and they have two that we tried on separate occasions. The original is a much more traditional minimalist sauce, nothing bold. Maybe ask for extra to get more flavor from that one. The new sweeter sauce they offer is really good that I think really gives a better experience with the simple cheese only pizza. Maybe a hint of basil in there and some extra sugar I'm thinking. We liked it. Maybe try something to contrast it like banana peppers as a topping if you like. The fried mushrooms were also a new favorite for us. They have thinner batter compared to what you might get at roosters or something like that. They use more of a beer batter style and it really works well. They use smaller baby Bella's. The smaller they're sliced the better to really allow the batter to compliment the mushroom flavor. They offer a ranch peppercorn sauce, but in our to-go order they put it inside the styrofoam container with our hot food. Not great. A lot of places do this. Hot ranch dressing is not appetizing to me. Also, fried food should never be on styrofoam or any plastic containers. I'd rather they use a pizza box to absorb the steam. Soggy breading ruins the ability to enjoy the food as it was intended. Again a lot of places do this.
Overall I think the best thing about this place is that both times our pizza was consistent and I always choose that over anything. I highly recommend you...

I woke up this morning to a reply from the owner fully addressing all of my concerns and explaining in detail the reason for them. THAT MEANS A LOT! His explanation made sense and showed he took the time to actually look into my concerns, which means we probably caught them on a bad night. We will try them again down the road solely based on his caring reply and willingness to make changes.

We are new to Worthington and saw the high reviews here and thought we would give it a try. I don’t eat pizza often so this was a treat and a cheat meal for us. Based on the good reviews here and a Valpak coupon we had gotten, we placed an order. I’m not trying to be mean, but I’m honestly reviewing our experience below in as much detail as possible for ownership to know and decide if changes are necessary.
We were on hold for 8 minutes. We then placed our order with a friendly worker who was very nice, and were told to come in 35-40 minutes. We ordered a large 14” pepperoni pizza and a funnel cake. No big deal We got there and waited for 15 minutes to pickup our food. I believe I saw them put the pizza into the oven as I was waiting. It was a Saturday night so I understand being busy, but we were annoyed that we showed up on time and still had to wait awhile longer. I watched football while I waited. We paid, they apologized for the wait and I said it’s ok I understand, and went home. The pizza has a good flavor with the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni but the crust was very hard and it seemed slightly overcooked. Our funnel cake wasn’t crispy and was very soft, as if it was homemade, not done by someone selling them.
All in all, we were disappointed with the service, product, and overall experience. We felt an honest review was merited so others can have better expectations before making a...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars for the experience I had last Friday 9/13 I would. I called ahead to place my order at 7:15pm and they told me my order would be ready in 45 minutes. I've ordered from them plenty of times before...enough to know that they are ALWAYS running behind so I arrived at around 8:15 to pick up my food. My food was still not ready at that time and the worker told me it would be another 15 minutes. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience, in fact no one did. All they kept saying is that it was Friday the 13th and they were busy. I proceeded to watch other people who had ordered AFTER me, get their food. 8:45 came and went...STILL NO FOOD. At that point the worker had assured me that it would be right out so I decided to pay. 10 more minutes went by...STILL NO FOOD. I asked for a refund, which they gave me with an attitude, still repeating that it was Friday the 13th and its "not normally like this." Like I said, this is not the first time I have arrived to find that my food was not even close to being finished. I understand that things happen and I wasn't expecting my food at 45 minutes on the dot. However, almost 2 hours and no food is simply UNACCEPTABLE. and so was the way I was treated. As much as I like the food here, I refuse to give my money to a company who does not value loyal customers....
