So all Waffle Houses have this reputation of "F around and find out." Weather, that be the food, the employees or your fellow customers. If you can learn to "act right," it can be an enjoyable experience. The same can be said for my visit to this Waffle House.
It was a busy night, but our server was prompt. He was extremely pleasant. I ordered the steak and eggs. With a side of biscuits and gravey. I was hungry as F, don't judge me!
It all arrived in about 15 to 20 minutes. It all tasted great. The only thing I didn't like was that the steak went cold very quickly. Like, it arrived hot, but within minutes, it was cold.
The atmosphere was nice. The chatter of other customers. The employees laughing while working. One of them was playing music. It was a good time. Part of going to Waffle House is understanding you will be getting dinner and a show. The staff are usually entertaining while they work. Not like overtly so, but in how they interact with each other. Be warned, you may find yourself pulled into the show for your commentary. Remember, act right.
All in all, I enjoy this spot. I...
Read moreThe 2 stars are for the night shift. Been there at 4am for great service and great food. I would give the night shift 5 stars. Tonight was another story. Was there around 7.30pm-8pm on a Monday with my children. The woman serving us was already frustrated when taking our order. We wanted our hashbrowns made a certain way. When she brought our food it was not right. She snapped with "whats wrong". When I tried to explain it to her she made me feel like the bad guy. Then proceeded to slam it into the trashcan right by our table. Got snappy with the cook talking about I need the whole order remade. Both of them talking about i dont have time for this. I was on a short break from work myself and didn't have time either. I understand that it is frustrating at times in the food industry being a general manager myself. Even my kids recognized her as being out of hand. I told them not to worry about remaking our food and walked out. At the end of the day the customers pays our paychecks. If I could give her zero stars I would! Thank you Ihop for taking...

The solo waitress has similar issues and the place was needlessly cluttered from prior customers but could have been fixed in just a few minutes. Time she clearly had while we were there. In spite of this she eventually came around and made a decent effort.
I blame management based on what I observed. These two younger folks under good management and with solid, quality training could be really good at their jobs. They seem unguided and burned out. It would be nice if someone with the franchise read this and addressed it properly. With their potential, waffle house should try to keep them and develop them before they lose them.
Sad state...
