I ordered a mocha latte. The machine was being cleaned so I ordered a cafe mocha instead. I paid and got my cafe mocha (with whipped topping) as expected from Victor who was working the drive thru. I had to ask for my receipt that is normally offered to me and I did so because i was never told my total throughout the entire interaction. Not a big deal, but it will become important later. Since the drink was hot, I didn't try it until I had already driven a fair distance away. When I did try it, the drink was watered down. It tasted like the hot chocolate was running out or something was wrong with the coffee. I initially thought it was because it was too hot, but after it cooled down further, I verified that it was definitely watered down. No big deal. I finished my errand and returned to the store about 1.5 hrs later in hopes of getting my drink replaced with a correct cafe mocha. I had only taken a few sips so the cup was still mostly full. I went inside so I could watch my replacement being made. Victor was at the front counter. I was not greeted but I recounted my experience to Victor's blank, disinterested stare. When I finished he replied in a dismissive and condescending tone indicating that cafe mochas are half hot chocolate and half coffee and implied that they were supposed to taste watered down. I have had my share of cafe mochas, am aware of their ingredients, and have never returned one because it was watered down so I knew that Victor's perspective was not indicative of how a cafe mocha was supposed to taste. I responded that I would like it replaced and Victor reiterated that it was made correctly. When I told him I would still like a new one he still hesitated. At that point, I decided that I would not like to spend my money at this establishment and requested a refund. Victor then offered to make a new one but I refused and asked him to refund my money. He stated, "you paid with a card." This shows that he remembered our earlier transaction so him making me fully explain the drive thru order was just him being difficult. I would guess him asking me to provide my card was an attempt to make the refund more difficult on my end but I let that go and he refunded me the cost of the cafe mocha to my card. As I was walking out I remembered that I was charged for the whipped topping. Based on Victor's poor attitude, I knew he would question it so I located my receipt and walked back in. Victor, as expected, initially appeared as if he was going to question the additional refund until I handed him the receipt. I doubt he "forgot" as he was able to remember other details from the earlier transaction. Miraculously he was able to refund the 60 cents in cash with no card. While I understand the stress and lack of appreciation is often a side effect of working in the fast food industry, I find that Victors distasteful attitude, condescending tone, negative disposition, and seemingly vindictive behavior were notably unacceptable. His actions warrant this review and hopefully some training. I hope his supervisors realize that his attitude has, and if left unchecked, will continue to, cause customers to take their...
Read moreDrivethru line was into the street so I parked and went in. After waiting a few moments a woman came out from the back and said, "Just so you know, it's going to be 15 minutes before we get to you." I was surprised but said "Ok" Another woman, across the kitchen from me, barked and said, "We're just really really really really short staffed." Again, I just said "ok". I told the couple of people who came in behind me that information and the first two left. The third stayed. Then the first woman told him "It's going to be half an hour before we get to you." So I piped up and said "Half an hour? Five minutes ago it was 15 mintues. You're waiting on the people at the window with no wait at all. I came inside because I COULDN'T get in line, it was out into the street." The woman across the kitchen lost her marbles at that point and started barking at me (she wasn't screaming, but she was clearly irate) "JUST STOP TALKING!!! DON'T TALK TO ME!! DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS? YOU COME BACK HERE AND RUN EVERYTHING YOURSELF. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A BAKER!!! I'M JUST GOING TO QUIT. JUST SHUT UP!" The drivethru window was open and I thought the guy outside in his car was going to have a heart attack as he listened to her carrying on. I had just clicked "send" on an online order so I stood there a few more moments and a nice man who had been taking drive thru orders came over and very softly said "I'm sorry. What can I get you?" as he pulled online order tickets from the printer. I said, "It's right there in your hand, I placed the order online." He said "I'm very sorry" again and quickly handed me my food. I simply said, "That was absolutely uncalled for" he said "Yes, I'm so sorry" and I left. I get that the restaurant industry is short staffed, but there was NO reason to talk to me that way. "SHUT UP AND STOP TALKING"? I have worked in the service industry (including at Tim Horton's) for 25 years. Never have I ever seen anything so atrocious directed...
Read moreI usually like this location, people are nice, fast and food always good. Sadly, their lunch team SUCKS. when you have not customers, inside or drive thru, and you get one that walks in, dont you think you would be on that person to make sure they have a good experience? not these days, today i went over and got food for my office staff and myself. I waited for 10 mins for someone to just knowledge me. 4 ladies where just standing by the drive thru window talking about the latest gossip (yes i know what they were talking about as they did nothing to keep it quiet), one even looked right at me and nothing, not even a welcome. the girl who took my orders (i had 3) had no idea what she was doing. I asked for an ice coffee, i got asked if i wanted that with ice. isnt that what an iced coffee is? my 2nd order, it was cold as well as my 3rd which for a spice chicken snadwich with extra mayo, its not even warm and where is my mayo to start with. I even asked the girl who checked me out if they really didnt have anything better today, in which i got a clueless look like she didnt know what i was talking about.
My experience was horrible and i cant believe that by the time i left and had everything finally, there was 2 other employess coming out of the back and one went straight for the cash draw and started to pull money and count it in front of me. Ive worked fast food, you dont count money in front of customers. Good thing im not a theif because i counted $120 in 20's by the time she got smart and put it all away.
Needless to say, we will be reporting more directly to the managers of this branch as thats just sad no one could...
