Sky Lounge Bar & Grill Columbus — Restaurant in Columbus

So I hate to give such a review, but it's necessary and I want others to be aware as well. I've been to the sky lounge a few times and it's always an okay experience, but the servers have been nice each time just not attentive and very slow even when the restaurant doesn't have many people. Each time I've been there were multiple items that they didn't have available, but I still decided to support. The atmosphere is nice. The drinks and food are okay I'll rate the food a 6/10. The drinks 4/10. This past Wednesday I went with a few friends and 3 of us paid for our food and drinks with card while one paid with cash. Each person tipped the server (Precious) with cash the lowest amount being $6 the highest $10 so she left the table with a nice tip even though we were waiting over 30 minutes for some drinks we never received. All of this being explained to say this same server decided to put herself in a tip on my card that cash app sent me a notification of after I provided her a cash tip. Once I noticed I reached out to the restaurant to make them aware. A server or bartender answered I let her know the situation and it was 4:43 pmat the time she stated the manager comes in at 4:45 pm and she'll let the manager know and have her reach back out to me. 2 hours past and I received no response so I called back and asked for the manager. The same person who I spoke with regarding the situation answered and she must've recognized my voice so she asked if I was the person who called about the charge on my card I stated yes and told her I would like to speak with the manager. Once the manager got on the phone she let me know she had been made aware and she had my receipt proof where It showed I did a zero with a line through on the tip part and that she was looking into it (what else needed to be looked into at that point with proof I'm not sure). Everything was uneasy about the whole exchange and I ended up canceling my card, because I have no sense of security after this happened. It may not have been alot, the server took but it's the principle and who knows how many others she's done that to thinking they wouldn't notice. I was refunded the $2 the server took and I do feel like the situation wasn't handled thoroughly and not too professional, but I won't be returning so that's okay. The false tip was returned so...

We were a group of six from LaGrange, Georgia, psyched to check out Sky Lounge Soulful Sundays after hearing rave reviews. Despite our attempts to reserve a table via Facebook and multiple calls, we couldn't get through to anyone.

When we finally arrived, things didn't go as planned. Only two of us initially got our drink orders taken, and even though they eventually came and took everyone's drink order, only 2/6 came, and they were very very warm. Then, we were hit with the news that they were out of catfish, yams, lima beans, and green beans. Okay, we adjusted our orders. But over an hour later, they dropped the bombshell: no mac and cheese either.

After waiting an excruciating hour, we finally got our drinks. Warm mimosas. And just as we were contemplating sticking it out, they announced the missing mac and cheese to add to the list of missing items. That's when we decided to call it quits.

Sure, the place looked nice, and the bathrooms were spotless. But with missing menu items, warm drinks, and inaccurate info about activities like escapology rooms (they claimed there was a Groupon deal for 40% off but there wasn't), our experience was a letdown.

Despite the friendly staff who changed the TV channel for us while we waited, we left feeling disappointed. It's a bummer to write a negative review, but our visit to Sky Lounge Soulful Sundays didn't live up...

It was date night for me and my boyfriend and we wanted to try something new— came across the establishment on Tik Tok & the entrees were very appealing to the eye. We came in, got our IDs checked, seated, and placed our order for a drink (which was 1000/10) appetizer and 2 entrees. The waitress was attentive, friendly and SUCH a vibe. The environment was also very clean and very chill with great music and entertainment.

We began to place our order—My Boyfriend and I Had the Mexican Street corn dip and 2 dishes on their specialty entree menu (his chicken & waffles & me the Veggie pasta with shrimp) it took us a good 20-30 minutes for us to get our App/Entree, but, it was busy— so we understood. Portion/sizes were great and evenly distributed; The quality of our food, on the other hand, wasn’t so great. The chips that came along with our appetizer were EXTREMELY crunchy and overdone, but the dip was satisfying— the chicken and waffles were fried a little too long, making it very hard/tough to eat and enjoy— and the pasta, was a little too oily ( as I’m visibly able to see the cheese and oil separate on the pasta) and weighed/mushy, so it wasn’t as enjoyable as I aspired it to be— and although it was well seasoned to my liking, the quality of the freshness was questionable.
