Ruby Tuesday within Mall. First and foremost, I must say that I came in a Sunday during a non busy time of the day due to it heavily raining. There were customers but the location wasn't packed.
I enjoyed the food and service. I feel that I can't fairly rate the atmosphere. There is no TV or music going on in the background gor sure. So, you have to be content with entertaining yourself when there alone. I don't know whether lack of tvs are a norm for the chain. I ended up playing a movie from YouTube while I waited for my food. If there were tvs, then I definitely didn't notice them and they were off.
I sat at one of the long high table located within the bar area. The area was clean and adjacent to the salad bar. The bar tender/ waitress was attentive. I was able to see inside of the kitchen as the kitchen door open and closed. The kitchen appeared acceptable.
The staff seemed to be friendly and the bathroom was clean. I must admit that the bathroom was dated... But I give it high marks for being clean.
I ordered the New Orleans Seafood entree coupled with the salad bar and spiked tea. The salad bar was well stocked. The vegetables were fresh and everything I choose was good. The entree came out hot. 5 stars for NOT overcooking the zucchini. Everything I ordered tasted delicious.
There is ample parking because of the location.
The only thing I disliked is the check out process. I strongly dislike the portable machines for credit card payment. I don't like wireless transactions. So, I won't return unless I have cash on me to avoid the wireless checkout. Rated atmosphere a 3 because of dated bathroom and...

After approaching the host in an almost empty restaurant to be seated, I was told I had to wait for a while for a seat because a table had to be cleaned. I questioned that and gestured towards all the open, clean seating, which apparently jogged his memory or opened his eyes and he seated me at an open area.
My husband joins me luckily for the host, cause he wouldn't have been so nice. The guy takes his drink order and promptly forgets. My husband goes for the salad bar, comes back, eats and waits for his drink. I sit waving a menu, cause it's 100 degrees outside and we're riding our motorcycle.
Wait staff pass us by more than a few times until my husband stops one and asks who he needs to talk to in order to be served? The guy asks, "I don't know, who took your order?" OOPS, WRONG QUESTION!
My husband is now on retired-Army-take-no-prisoners mode (not to mention it's Memorial Day). He told the guy to get so one now or he'll go to the kitchen himself. The waitress who overheard, comes over post haste and takes our order.
Took a bit too long for the appetizer I ordered to come out, and she never refilled my drink.
Needless to say, we won't frequent this location again any time in the next hundred years.
Having taught customer service for many years, I am amazed at And how many people have NO CLUE how to handle customers.
All the waiter had to say was, "I'm sorry Sir, I'll take your order." Done just that, and had a satisfied customer and a nice tip...is it really THAT hard to...
Read moreIf I could leave lower I would. First off, there wasnt a Greeter at the door. The reason he wasnt was because he was running around taking orders and bussing tables. I'm assuming maybe a waiter or waitress called out? So a couple gets sat next to us, and after us, yet their waitress comes and takes their order. At this time we have waited a whole 5 minutes and I am PISSED.
So, then after the female manager has walked by our table 3 times, she then FINALLY acknowledges us and says that someone will be over to take our order, while not once making eye contact. Not once does she apologize. So guess who she sends over to take our order? The Greeter. In the middle of taking our order, he has to leave and go seat the line he now has going out of the door! He seats a few patrons and then comes back to finish our order. The manager walks by and checks on the tables around us, but not us. She then comes by and drops off some dry and burnt looking little biscuits that were all upside down. Where was the presentation? You're the manager, you should know what is acceptable to go out to a table.
We finally got a waitress to come over about 15 mins in to our seating and she was nice and brought us some more biscuits. They also looked better and taste a whole lot better than the other ones from the first plate. To make it so bad, we havent even received our meal yet and this is the terrible experience we have had so far. Whatever they had going on today, I certainly hope they can fix it. Beginning with...
