6 out of 5 stars! Came into Columbus, GA for work and woke up starving. I found The Smokey Pig from a suggestion on my GPS and figured I would try it out. I showed up right as the owner, Robbie, was opening up at 10am. He was very cool and friendly. Let me try some of the meats he had on the open smoke rack while I was getting my bearings and deciding on what to eat. The place was clean and has a good amount of seating. The food: oh Lord, THE FOOD!! It was phenomenal. I had the chipped pork BBQ sandwich with their signature BBQ sauce and two sides: baked beans and homemade Brunswick stew. I got a second sandwich. I had to. Then he mentioned the chilled banana pudding and I was sold. All told with a Large fountain drink I spent 24$ (including tip) and I had half of it devoured before I left the parking lot. Spread the word: THE SMOKEY PIG BBQ is the best BBQ in Columbus, maybe even all of GA. Enjoy! 😉

Place is great. BBQ is so good and the ribs come off the bone. Came here on a whim. I already knew this place was going to slap from how the building looked and the smoke billowing out. They will cut the bbq to your liking which is a huge plus to me because I don’t always want my BBQ pulled and shredded. With any plate comes with pickles, coleslaw and 2 pieces of bread. Nice touch. I usually only go to BBQ places for the meat so I can’t comment on their actual sides but my parents loved the Brunswick stew a lot. People behind the counter are really nice and friendly. You can even see them cooking/smoking the meat which is always cool. Only thing next time is I’d ask for the sauce on the side, I really wish I could just taste the meat by itself and wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw. Other than that highly recommended!

One of my favorite Barbecue places of all time. My grandfather used to take me there when i was a child when we would visit my great grand parents. The food is just as awesome as it was when I was kid. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. I recommend trying the pork plate and the ribs. We are moving to Columbus from central Florida in a few weeks. We will definitely roll be coming back in the near future.

Smokey Pig is a long time family favorite. We've been going here as long as I can remember. Luv this place whether we get a sit down meal or take home. I use to live close to Atlanta. If I was going to arrive late on Friday, my parents would always go ahead an get my favorites. Since they are closed on Sunday's, I would go buy my husband's sandwiches an side's on Saturday to take home for him. BBQ from Smokey Pig was serious on my trips down. Since I've moved back, it's a lot more convenient to get a favorite when I'm in town. And I...
