Starbucks — Restaurant in Columbus

Good people working under adverse conditions.: this was my review 9 months ago. Now I need to change this review.

Today, 2/22/22 I stopped by after driving hundred of miles for a quick restroom break and a final cup of coffee before heading home to Indianapolis. A temporary sign said they were closed from approximately 1:30 - 4pm. It was now 6:15. I asked to use the restroom and maybe order through the drive through if the lobby was closed. The girl said I could go to the bathroom at the gas station across the street and then come back to go through the drive thru. Really! She said we are still in a pandemic and I couldn't come in. There is no CDC requirement to close the seating area inside and there are no local mandates. This is simply a made up excuse to reduce services provided. She said they close at 7, so why not be open? There were 4 baristas visible. Likely it is to lock the doors and clean the lobby and restrooms so that at 7 they can get out quicker. Sadly COVID19 has become an excuse for providing poor service. This location has really gone down hill. If you really want Starbucks coffee you may want to go to the one at 31 and I65 near Edinburgh. I am going to reevaluate whether I want to continue to be a Starbucks customer. Not only gave store hours decreased across the country (and I drive courier service so I know) but customer service quality has dropped. There are only three locations that I frequent where this is not the case - Binford and 71st in Indianapolis, Greenfield Indiana on SR 9 and St. Clairsville Ohio. All of those have kept...

I understand that they were very busy, but the customer service was not good today. They had no cold brew and 3 people in line who had ordered it. Mine was an app order, so they just put up an empty cup for me. The guy after me was told he could have iced coffee instead. His cold foam looked pathetic, but because it was so busy, he just grabbed and ran. When I pointed to my empty cup and asked if they were out of cold brew (I wanted to make sure I had heard what they had said to the other guy correctly) I was treated with a snippy response. Then she asked me what else I wanted. I said an iced americano (because when I worked at starbucks, that's what we offered when we were out of iced coffee or cold brew). She told me iced coffee and made 3 more drinks before she grabbed my empty cup back. I like a splash of half and half in my coffee with cold foam on top--this confused her, and she mixed the half and half into my cold foam in the blender. No big deal. She then told the next person who had ordered a cold brew that they were out and asked if she wanted iced coffee. The girl said yes. The barista then said she would mix some espresso shots in to make it taste stronger.... so other dude and I were no offered this (even after I asked). Terrible experience. I just wanted my nice coffee on my 7th day in a row working. Probably wont return to...

Really not a fan of this location anymore. They're hardly ever open to go inside and order. They're always out of things like oatmilk and certain cake pops. I went there yesterday and they literally locked the door right as I got to it, and then he just walked away. I went in the other door and asked if it was possible to use the restroom and I was told no. So not only could you not order inside, but they'd closed their restroom as well. I ended up leaving because the app wouldn't let me customize my drink, and the drive through was blocked by a semi as it always seems to be when I go there. If you're going to close the inside, at least make sure your drive through is accessible even while you're getting a delivery. After they remodeled, they placed yellow poles up and it makes it impossible to get in there from the car wash side if you're driving anything other than a smart car while that semi is backed in there on the opposite side. And there is plenty of room for that semi to park one to two spaces over to let people in the other way, and still be near the delivery entrance. Even after they've reopened, it didn't improve the cleanliness of the place. The windows have been filled with fingerprints and smudges for weeks, and the bathrooms are gross.
