Taco John's — Restaurant in Columbus

My own rating is not important. I'm basically just here to say how disappointed I am in hearing that this place has gone down hill, but, at the same time - it does not surprise me one bit.

This was a great place to eat and the previous owners (or, should I say, the original - as I don't know how many it has gone through now) actually cared about quality and instilled that in to their employees.

It used to be one of the best, if not THE best Taco John's in Nebraska, if not in existence.

But now? According to a lot of reviews, that wonderful reputation has been destroyed. So, to the current owners - you're failing. Stop failing. Start caring more. If your employees don't care and can't handle the job, get rid of them. Don't settle for lackluster. If you, as an owner or manager do not care - you're in the wrong line of business. Fast Food restaurants and service get bad reputations because of stuff like this. Care to rise about and get out of that stigma and stereotype!

Had I the money, I'd buy it myself and learn all that I could to run it with the hope of bringing it back to greatness. But I'd likely not be able to keep any employees considering I wouldn't deal with the non-sense that caused me to refuse working food-service ever again (the drama, the cliques/high-school levels of cattiness, employees not caring/taking pride in their work and only wanting to get paid).

I'm truly sorry to anyone that has had a bad experience. To the loyal customers who have been going there for years and have had to watch it's downfall, to the newcomers who have never seen or experienced the diamond it once was.

Please trust me when I say, again, that it used to be amazing.

This place has never really been a favorite. The food has always been average. Nothing taste super amazing that makes me continue coming back always craving it. But also, it's not so gross where I would never eat here again. The employees don't take a lot of pride in their appearance like they should. I swear every time I come inside and order the employee taking my order has a dirty shirt that looks like it hasn't been cleaned for days. Same with the inside of the store. Every time i eat inside I can guarantee I will be sitting down at a dirty table. The floors are open dirty with customer spillage that the employees don't care about cleaning up. Normally this place is amazing but for some reason tonight around 7:45pm when we can in the drive through person was to busy talking and laughing to listen to are order we ordered a meat and potato burrito without lettuce a small ole medium dr pepper 3 chicken tacos a small ole and a medium Dr Pepper they gave us a large Dr Pepper a large ole a bean burrito with lettuce and he is allergic to lettuce which is why we asked for it off but my meal was awesome small ole medium Dr Pepper and my chicken tacos were amazing please do better next time it happens again and my friends and family won’t be back people ask for things off of things for a reason and they also charged us for a large ole and Dr Pepper when we asked for a small ole and a...
