My girlfriend and I recently made a trip to Vidas, as we are always looking for more vegan alternatives and options, We where not disappointed at all. you might notice is the prices are a bit higher then what can be bought at the store Like Tofurkey, Field Roast and Beyond. Just based on the taste alone the price would be worth it to us, but we also like to support local businesses rather then huge company's. We picked up a half pound of corned beef, a pack of Habanero cheddar sausages and a pack of dill Havarti. We made Reubens with the corned beef and used the havarti cheese instead of Swiss. First thing I noticed is the corned beefs flavor was extremely close to what I remember non vegan tasting like. Another good thing was it didn't have that off taste that I associate with most vegan meats like tofurkey etc. Tonight we made the habanero cheddar sausages, these where also exceptional. They where slightly spicy and thats good my girlfriend doesn't like super hot stuff like I do. Once again a win, I don't get that taste I normally associate with vegan meats. I would highly recommend this place if you are vegan or not and want to try something way better then whats available at normal chain stores. I'm excited to go back and try some of the other things they...
Read moreLove the food, couple of nice people.
Will never return though. Today I tried to stop here and grab some food and it was closed with a note on the door.
Went out of my way 20 mins to come here. This is the third time this has happened.
How hard is it to update your hours on google to show that yall are closed? The first two times I said “welp the food is worth it, oh well”. But now, I’m never coming back, unfortunately.
Y’all just lost a couple of customers to seitans realm
Edit: Your response shows an inability to comprehend customer complaints, which reflects a self centered worldview.
My problem wasn’t that you were closed, my problem was your failure to spend the little effort it would take on ensuring that your google hours reflect the fact that you’re closed. You know… communication? This would save customers the drive. Don’t be selfish and self centered, it aint cool. And reread people’s reviews before you choose to...
Read moreI first heard about a "vegan butcher" opening and thought that it had to be a joke. Like what an oxymoron right? But I went on opening day and NOPE its the real deal lol. Its basically a deli with plant-based cold cuts, sandwiches, sides and drinks for sale and hot sandwiches made to order. They also have a cute outdoor patio to sit and eat at. I have heard about it being crowded but the two times I've gone there's only been one or two groups ahead of me and the service was quick. I tried to the sloppy joe when I went on opening day which was pretty good, and then today I had the hot ham & cheese with a side of beans which was GREAT. The staff were very friendly as well, and prices aren't bad. I just wish they were open until a bit later! Their hours almost perfectly match my work...
