Food was good. No complaints there. My 3 star rating is about everything else.
This wendys has moved to a kiosk system for taking orders. The only problem is that the kiosks weren't working half the time, so some customers were leaving or waiting for someone to take their order manually, and they didn't have a dedicated cashier. The kiosk happened to work for me.
At the end of the kiosk checkout process, it said this location had self serve cups and we could grab one and serve our drinks. I looked and no cups were out by the drink machines. They had some cups stacked within arms reach of the counter, so I just assumed that's what we were supposed to do. I thought it was odd, but nobody was standing there so I grabbed one.
I grabbed a cup and an employee came out a few minutes later and got upset. She said that management watches the cameras and she gets in trouble when a customer literally follows the kiosk instructions and grabs a cup. I apologized as I did not want to cost this person their job. I felt really bad and I hope nothing bad happens to that employee.
This location is just not managed well. Apparently the cups are not by the machines because people steal cups. Maybe cups are "stolen" because people are told to grab a cup and serve themselves. I work in tech and this feels like a bad UX. Why tell people to grab a cup and then get mad when they do? I don't understand this new service model, and the employees suffer for it. This location seems under-staffed, and that's a management issue. The restaurant was a little dirty as well.
I feel really bad for the employees. They're hard-working folks just...
Read moreWe went through the drive through and sat for about 3 minutes with no response. Followed by an “oh”….then nothing. Asked for a simple order. 4 for 4. Burger with ketchup and pickle only. Received burger with ketchup pickle and then mayo as the added surprise twist. Cmon it’s 2 easy toppings. So I went to go through the drive through again to correct it. This time sat for 4 minutes with no response as cars lined up behind me. I decided to go in and have them correct it.
I repeated to the gentleman the mistake and asked for the corrected order. The guy looks back at me and then asks “so you want a burger? You want what?”. I feel bad because at this rate honestly because I can’t tell if he just didn’t understand me? Or if he was stressed out? Half the crew had AirPods on and was just walking about. Maybe 2 people working the line and thank goodness those two were. They’re probably carrying the whole crew.
This location has gone downhill…when I worked for Wendy’s if I had been caught with AirPods, my phone out, or standing around…I’d had been fired on the spot. Have better work ethic. Fast food can be stressful, but it’s going to be a lot more stressful when you have people coming in who have a lot less patience...
Read moreIf you show up there around the last 2 hours of the store's business hours, they will 100% treat you like garbage. I went through there, sat at the intercom system for about 5 minutes before they even said anything to me. Then they got an attitude with me because I took too long to answer first?
Whatever happened to them starting the greetings first?
After I order, I pull forward and I see none of their staff are in their uniforms. Lady had her back turned towards me at the window, couldn't even be bothered looking back at me. I sat their again for another 5 minutes waiting for this lady and whoever else she is talking to inside this restaurant. She opens the window glares at me for about a minute, then turns her head away and opens up her hand. She takes my card and puts it into the card reader, walks away, comes back a few minutes later takes my card out of the machine...throws my card in my car. Drops my meal on my window ledge of my car, closes the door and refuses to answer when I asked for my drink.
How hard is it just to have basic customer service? Why be so rude and act like that in the drive through?
Stay away from this Wendy's at night, management is not running that...
