Quick Review: If you’re craving Korean food or want to have something remotely authentic around here, it does the trick. Took my parents here and we thought the food was decent. The “ban-chan” (side dishes) with rice was the best part. Good variety in the menu and the “imos” (waitresses) were very nice. Food was on the salty side for Koreans, but probably better for Americanized palate.
Details: Atmosphere: Big and clean floor space with the aunties rolling carts of food. Service: Been here when it was empty and when it was packed. Service is very dependent on how busy it gets.
Food: Banchan (Side Dishes) Overall Score (4/5) *Spicy Scale (0-1/5): Good variety! All the kimchis (spiced fermented veggies) were up to standard. Honestly would have the whole meal with this, rice, and soup. The ancestors would be satisfied.
Haemul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake)Overall Score (3/5) *Spicy Scale (0/5): Well stuffed with muscles, octopus, etc. Thicker than I like, but decent crust on the outside. Tastes good as leftovers too lol
LA Galbi (Grilled Shortrib) Overall Score (3/5) *Spicy Scale (0/5): It had some good flavor.
Godeungeo Gui (Grilled Mackerel) Overall Score (4/5) *Spicy Scale (0/5): A classic. They got a good crust on the fillet side, which is often overlooked.
Mul Naengmyeon (Cold Broth Noodles) Overall Score (3/5) *Spicy Scale (0/5): Great dish for a hot day. Noodles were chewy, broth was refreshing. Mustard and vinegar sides gave it the extra punch of flavor.
*Overall Score (1-5) 1: actively avoid 2: rather not order 3: would rather cook, but would order if lazy 4: damn good 5: I am blessed to be eating this meal **Spicy scale (0-5): 0=no reason to be spicy 1=no detectable spice 2=not initially spicy, but after thoughts of spicy 3=initially spicy and some after thoughts of spice 4= initially spicy and need water to continue meal 5= need water on first...
Read moreWhile shopping at Ichiban Bakery, a lady had recommended Min Ga for authentic Korean cuisine so we got takeout to enjoy at home. Our party of five shared two orders of LA Kalbi, Bulgogi, Mackerel, Bibimbap, Seafood Pancake, Fried Dumpling, and Japchae. Everything was delicious but I'll admit that we overordered because we were under the impression that a grilled entree would be enough for one person.
The LA Kalbi consisted of marinated charcoal grilled beef short ribs marinated in our special sauce. The Bulgogi consisted of charcoal grilled thinly sliced beef marinated in our special sauce. Both the LA Kalbi and Bulgogi were flavorful. However, I enjoyed the Bulgogi more as it was tender and not as chewy. The Mackerel consisted of two mackerels lightly salted and cooked on an open fire.
The Bibimbap consisted of assorted vegetables (including bean sprouts, carrots, spicy pickled radish, and chopped lettuce), bulgogi and fried egg on steamed rice served with hot paste on the side.
The Seafood Pancake consisted of a pan-fried Korean-style pancake with scallion and assorted seafood (including octopus and shrimp). I liked how there was an even mixture of batter and ingredients and the edges were crispy.
The Fried Dumpling consisted of pan fried vegetables dumpling served with a sweet and tangy sesame soy dipping sauce.
The Japchae consisted sweet potato noodle stir fried with bulgogi and assorted vegetables (including carrots, onions, scallion, zucchini,...

Their stews can be shared its alot. We always have left overs. Their lunch prices are nice e too. Ive seen some reviews in regards to their tricky tactic and let me say the 4 times I been there , have never been an issue or their tricks on tipping. Matter fact the waiter remember us. And mind you we always show love on tipping. So I guess make sure you guys check your receipts. But as fair as my experiences for the 4 times I been there they been wonderful and consistent each time. Will definitely travel 1hr...
