While I don't eat this very often, I do crave sliders occasionally. Not all White Castle locations are created equal. Some give you the Castle experience and some do not.
Unfortunately this location constantly falls short in giving you what you ordered. On large orders (more than 5 sliders) you're going to wait a little at the next window while you watch everyone behind you get theirs. Yes, this was a drive through order. 10 sliders is not a big order. Waiting 10 minutes and then getting soggy buns is unacceptable.
But that's not my biggest problem. I ordered 10 sliders with ketchup and mustard and no cheese. I had to repeat it multiple times when ordering. The receipt showed 10 sliders. Yet they put cheese on them anyway which in effect ruined the entire meal. Eating something I don't want with the added delight of extra soggy bottom buns is not my idea of a good meal. This isn't the first time I've had order problems at this location. In the drive through there just isn't always time to check every single burger in the bag.
My advice would be to always go inside at this location so you can inspect the product before leaving and save yourself the disappointment I went through.
As I stated in the beginning, I just don't eat fast food that much anymore and when I do crave it, I expect it to be...
Read moreUPDATE After my initial rant, I noticed that none of the reviews were being answered and decided to reach out to the corporate office. I now have to concede that I received a call back from this location and was given an apology and sent a $5 promo card to cover my initial order. Since then, I have returned during non-peak hours and got some deliciously hot and fresh castles and good service from some younger kids at the window. And after that, I actually got one more promo card for another $5. I’m not sure if this was a mistake or not, but I appreciate it.
Thanks for reaching out and making it better. I’ll return again a few more times and update after I get a feel for how consistent you guys are.
Original review:
I recommend going to McDonald’s or Chipotle or Frisch’s or Wendy’s or Tim Hortons or any place in the immediate vicinity besides white castle. I ordered my food on the app and gave up on waiting for it after sitting in the drive-through for 18 minutes. The inside is closed, which means they aren’t distracted with customers inside, and they still can’t get the people through the drive-through in less than 18 minutes!...
Read moreCorporate, I hope you're listening. My visit this morning was fine, as far as the store. This rating is directed at you, corporate. Your experiment with switching the breakfast sandwich from regular toast to mini toast is a failure of epic proportions. You already sell sliders. You took the (hands down) best breakfast sandwich in Columbus, and replaced it with something that blends right in with the competition. If you keep this change, you'll change my morning from "finding the closest White Castle," to "which fast food place that I pass on my way to work, will have the fastest service?" If some of your customers prefer less bread, their option is available in a slider. For those of us looking for something as closely related to what we would make at home, the regular breakfast sandwich on toast is king of the market, not just...
