UPDATE: YOUR REPLY IS POOR AS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT A BAD ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE EMPLOYEE BECAUSE INGEEL FOR HER WORKING AT THIS FONDA MAY BE THATS WHT THEY SERVE FOOD ON BROKEN DISHES AND CUPS. HAVE DECENCY. I came here seeking for somsoups but they have only pzole, not beef soup. So I ordered something else. The gorditas here are good BUT too expensive. Anyways, the food I ordered is good, although it needed a bit more seasoning. What was disappointing is the fact that the plates are chipped. Not a good impression. Also they are not heated so the food gets cold too fast. Even the glassware is chipped. That should be trashed. Another thing that I'd say is be careful with drinks from the soda machine. Water taste weird so God knows how long ago the machine was serviced/maintained. Red flag for food inspectors. Also, when you are asking for a refill they take way too long. You hear the 2 waitresses chatting, but not "chopping". They should be aware that this area is heavily hispanic and half block down a nice mexican supermarket, that will get you everything you need so you can cook your food. I've been to this place a few times, the gordita are delicious but some main ingredients simply go better in a gordita than others.

I've had the Chile verse and Chile rojo. The rajas con chile. The al pastor was not a fan.

I tried their molcajete a while back and it was played beautifully, quite appetizing just from playing alone. The beef used would be sliced to help with eating as not areachera or diesmillo and not as easily to dice. The chicken was sliced. The flavor was excellent and service also quite tinely and professional.

This last visit ordered some gordita to go and they forgot 1 which was a first.

Have visited a few times more and have to admit, have found other items that are really good.

First visit, way past lunch hour so, it was just me and a couple.

Right off the bat, the young lady that served me was outstanding! From her warm, welcoming and polite attitude to how she managed to make my dining enjoyable. She and her service actually upped my rating to 4-star⭐, the food, a 3-⭐. The meat was bland that I needed the sauces slathered every bite I took.
