One of my quick to-go's is Denny's, for their simple yet quick and filling dishes. Their prices have always been fair and their service has always been accommodating and good. Everything changed for this particular location recently. I am to believe they switched owners or something and this owner is a real pain in the hoohaa. They are carefully regulating everything that comes from their kitchen, I am assuming to cut down on free things like sauces and small additives to food like grilled onion and things of that nature. They give you the menu, but advertise a $6 menu outside their establishment. Turns out you have to explicitly ask for the cheaper menu. Kinda scummy in my opinion, should have just laid out one with the regular menu but whatever. When asked for one, we were given one and the manager looked hesitant to give us two (we were a party of two, my dad and I), we only got one. When I asked for my dish which was the quarter pounder cheeseburger, I asked for grilled onions added (everywhere else, literally everywhere else gives it to you for free, they charge for it) and onion rings (also a charge, but everywhere else charges extra for different fries so that's justifiable). However, when we get our food I ask for some honey mustard sauce for my rings and he says alright that's extra... They are charging a dollar for a dollop of honey mustard. That is insane. How are you going to charge someone $1 for sauce when you didn't even do them the decency of giving them a sauce for the extra charge of onion rings???? It's not even the price, it's the principle. Manager came up to my dad and asked what was wrong and my dad started complaining and the manager said no worries I will cover that charge but it's policy, kind of hand waiving it away. By the way, we never received the sauce đđŒ. The food however was decent, the meat could have been cooked less (it was very chewy), onion rings were good as always and my dad enjoyed his pancakes and cheddar eggs. The service was great, but did lack coming to our table once we had our food (I would have liked more water) as they were understaffed with only 2 servers and the manager was looking around and seemed to be hurrying my server. I feel for the servers, but management is fumbling this location HARD. No longer coming here until things get sorted out if they ever do, planing on going to franchise locations as they are better than these corporate ones....
Read moreAwful service. I really hate to say it but it was bad. This was my second time visiting, this time with my little brother. Our server seemed to be in a rush although there were about 5 - 7 tables with less than 4ppl per table and two waiters (basically it wasn't busy). When it came to ordering our food, my brother went first and asked if he could replace the coffee for milk (because he's a kid)... Server didn't let him finish and said no... I then asked if I could just pay extra and he cut me off too by saying "no substitutes, no." (Cool, I get it... Rules are rules but why so rude? Let me finish speaking, listen!). Then it was my turn to order... I ordered nachos. They come in two sizes... At this point he was already walking away, didn't let me finish telling him what size I wanted or if I wanted anything else (and I did, in fact, want something besides what we already ordered). LITERALLY WALKING AWAY MID SENTENCE! WHO DOES THAT! (We were being polite, not rude, for this man to be acting as such! Felt rushed and discriminated for our age, a couple of teens). I didn't get a chance to tell him I wanted the coffee decaf and to go... Because, well, HE WAS GONE! WALKED AWAY. The food was great for the price... Had to tell the rude waiter I wanted decaf coffee instead of the reg. Black, that he brought to our table, wasnt rude about it then but he could have avoided the second trip (and waste a cup of coffee) if he just listened in the first place. Restrooms were gross. Don't understand how that is possible. It was not busy at all! And had plenty of staff members to clean it or even just refill toilet paper... I also work in food service and I understand how customers can get annoying and all that "good" stuff but this was unacceptable, and we weren't being rude so I'm really baffled to why we were treated the way we did. I don't expect a super friendly server or amazing service just decent,...
Read moreDO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELVES TO THE INAPPROPRIATE RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR OF RICKY! I will boycott all Dennys restaurants until this foul employee is no longer employed by this establishment. His attitude is disgusting and his behavior is extremely unprofessional. My daughter and I were very offended and left. When greeted by RICKY upon entry he snidely tells us to sit where we'd like. I point to the left and ask if that was fine. A simple yes or no would've sufficed. Instead this sorry excuse for a hostess flails his arms out and mockingly says I said sit wherever ud like. So i said fine and sat in the far area to the left. Ricky then walks up behind my daughter and laughlngly says R u serious!? Doesn't give us menus tells us We can't sit there. I ask for corporates number and his supervisors number because I'm leaving and I'm filing a complaint. He then wants to argue with me before giving the information i asked for. Ricky needs to learn how to work with people. It wasn't even his piercings or tattoos thatwere offensive but his snark mouth that needs to recognize its place in...
